Anyone having a problem with random shut-down of the app? Example, tapping screen to check current walking distance of buddy or going into the journal, shuts down the app. Not every time, but maybe one time out of five.

Yep. Or, it can crash while the phone is sitting on my desk without anyone touching it. This has been an ongoing problem for quite a while.

I've had issues before where the app would lock up and I would have to shut it down and reboot. This is a little different in that the app shuts down rather than locks up. Never happened (to me at least) prior to the most recent update.

Yes. I also have occasional lockups that force a restart. But more often, the app simply closes on its own, whether I'm actually doing anything in it or not.

Yep phone locks up. Usually after attempting another action. I still move on the map but nothing can be interacted with. Also dont know if it continues to track distance walked.

Yes this happens occasionally. At one point it was happening every time, and I found that clearing my app cache helped.

Doing that can help but not totally eliminate the problem. Also, clearing your phone's memory helps too. I try to remember to do that before raids.

I've had this exact problem - it only showed up for me as a regular problem in the last week. Tapping on my Buddy, tapping on the gym list or trying to tap on my journal.

Mine seems to happen when I tap on the self icon to check buddy, journal, style, gym badges and other badges. Touch, and the game quits instantly about 25% of the time.

yes, I've noticed it crashes if you try and interact with the self/buddy screen too quickly. If you wait a half second more (til you see the buddy moving) it will crash less frequently.
