Snorlax Question
When It was October 2016 I caught a 15 5 5 (ADS) Snorlax. It had Body Slam. It was 1706CP. I have Powered it Up to 2809. When trading comes could it have Value?
Answers
It absolutely can. Legacy moves always have trading value, especially on great Pokemon like Snorlax.
In fact Body Slam is still Snorlax's best defensive charge move - hits very fast (sometimes no warning) and very tricky to dodge. It's good for attack as well (don't get me wrong, not recommending using Snorlax as a general attacker here) - you can use it more frequently with less energy waste.
Also maybe just a remote thought - when PvP becomes available sometime in the future, certain moves on certain Pokemon such as Snorlax with Body Slam, Dragonite with Dragon Claw, Scizor/Pinsir with X-Scissor will shine.
Sure. For every Pokemon, whether it's good or bad it's always subjective. If a player is determined to defeat a Pokemon in gym, it's gonna be defeated whatsoever no matter it's a L39 Blissey or 3000 CP Snorlax or 200 CP Pidgey, just a matter of time and potions.
A legacy Body Slam Snorlax is still among top 3 defenders in game, and can be used as a good anchor in a few Raid matchups, as discussed above. You can totally ignore the PvP part since we're nowhere near its addition to the game, but my point holds that whenever PvP comes, Body Slam Snorlax is a decent option.
A Pokemon might not be great to you at all but will still has great value to lots of other players. After all people view and play the game differently, and I can say for sure there will be plenty of players who think Snorlax is a "great Pokemon", which, back to the subject, is the reason why I said it will have trading values.
I live in a small town where we usually don't have a huge army for legendary Raids, I like using earthquake Snorlax as my Raikou and Entei anchor and it's been working wonderful. Also used lick Snorlax against Lugia before.
It's certainly a great pokemon for me as well, something I'll run out of my apt for if it shows on my nearby list.
