Anyone doing level 5 raids mainly for the rare candy and golden raspberries?

I was doing that when the birds first came out. Now I don't even raid anymore. Weather conditions and life committments make hard to spend some time raiding.
Once I fill the pokedex entry don't care anymore about legendaries. Free raid passes get wasted most days... Winter has come!

I see catching them as a 5 rare candy bonus (holding out on transferring until we have a double candy event) applied to that specific mon. It's not like I'm not going to power one of each up to level 30.

I do pretty much the same thing too. I've been catching almost all of my Entei's by a regular raspberry (with Excellent curve) and it works! I learned this from my best Entei catch. My best is Entei 98% IV, and was caught on a normal Curve because I ran out of everything. What a God-given gift for catching him on 3%! Haha

i just do them for the higuest chance of getting better rewards and in bulks, that is all if it wasnt for that i would go and do even raid lvl 1

I’m still doing as many as I can for three reasons: 1) raid-only items (berries, candies, and TMs) 2) XP 3) the social aspect. I have met lots of awesome people through Discord and Facebook in the past few months and enjoy raiding with them.

For the exp actually. In fact i have ran from more entei than I've attempted to catch. I often have a lucky egg going and I'm not trying to waste time I could be evolving on a deal mon that's likely to flee anyway.so far my best one is 1908. Ill catch ones higher than that. I'm more than halfway thru 39 now. The end is near.

Same for me, except I use Pinap berries on ones that have low IVs to try to get extra candy out of them if I do catch it. I’m probably not going to ever power up Entei so it doesn’t matter that much. More important are the Rare Candies, the chance of TMs, the Golden Razz, and the XP. I’ll do Tyranitar raids if I can get to them, but otherwise I stick to the legendary raids for the loot.

Same, I use Pinap berries until the last four of five balls, then switch to golden razz. There may be a time when a currently unwanted Legendary becomes relevant, so I want as many type candies hoarded as possible should I need them.

You are not alone. I know quite a few people in my area who, though perhaps not bored, is mostly doing lvl 5 raids to get XP and hopefully TMs and Golden berries.

We have Suicune at the moment and seeing as it's not even a great pokemon most people save golden berries for the future, unless it's got a high CP.

Personally I only use golden berries if it has 1600 cp or close to it.
I did the same with Entei. Under 1900 and I'd just use ordinary berries.

Doing it for the TM, candy, and maybe golden razz. Exp is nice as well, and a chance to get a perfect legendary is not too shabby.

Yes. I've caught my 91% 15 attack Raikou. Now I'm mainly raiding for XP, rare candies and golden berries. Also in the small chance of a better Raikou.

I do the raids for Potions - the amount of potions I've gotten from Pokestops has dropped by at least 90% in the past week or so.
