Pokemon for Halloween Gyms

So I've spent over a million stardust to ready my mon for gyms for the Halloween month of October. Instead of the usual 3130+ Blisseys and Snorlax, I will only put spooky mon in gym in the month of October. Here's my line up so far:
- 2431, L39, 100%, Crobat
- 2566, L39, 96%, Gengar
- 2455, L39, 100%, Jynx
- 2958, L39, 100%, Espeon
- 1350, L31, 100%, Raticate
- 2161, L31, 86%, Houndoom
- 1771, L31, 89%, Umbreon

What do you plan for Halloween, pokemon-wise?

I maxed out 98iv misdreavus just for the halloween. 1778cp.

I've been looking for a 96%+ Murkrow to also do this to, but after 400 catches...barely one with a decent IV

Murkrow with quality IV has been challenging to get, like pidgey, but obviously harder to catch. After 1200 catches, my best one is only 93%, and it has a 12 for attack. But there's plenty of time before Honchkrow is available.

I had an 1180 Murkrow run after one ball. I was very upset!

Misdreavous is a cool and impish looking mon! Nice on the 98%. My best is only 86%, so not suitable for power up. It's quite uncommon in my area, but i hope to farm it during the upcoming Halloween event.

I am amazed anyone would spend that amount of dust on Halloween mons that'll be dumped out of gyms just the same but hats off to you for doing something different. If you play this game alot you need to set yourself goals as Niantic will not set them for you & u'll soon fall into a rut. Still waiting for Mewtwo, yawn......

While this is all true, I did catch a wild Haunter a few days ago 1121cp. Before Halloween is really here that is a good one to try to put in first to start a theme (with no effort on your end)

You know what's funny, some of the Halloween mon actually stay in the gym for hours where there's usually high turnover. Some players really don't like my Blisseys, and tend to take them down quick. Maybe less is more? Go figure...

I love halloween. But not enough to waste a lick of stardust on decorating gyms with level +30 mon

By far, the mon that looked the most impressive is a crobat emerging from the top of gym flapping its two sets of dark wings. Looks darkly atmospheric in the night mode!

Agreed they look great, but what’s the need to max them out? Maybe bring them to 2000cp or a little less. But wasting dust to max out inferior mons to me is Unample. I have a 100iv gengar with sc/sb that’s still on level 20.

Many of the mon I maxed out are 100%, so, I get satisfaction from doing that. Stardust generally is not a problem for me, so I tend to use them as they accumulate.

Any of these "Halloween-ish" enough to power up?
- Venomoth 100%
- Fearow 100%
- Arbok 100%
- Ariados 100%

I actually have a level 28 100% Arbok, so that is spooky enough for me. I'll get it to 30 eventually. Pupitar is about as spooky as they get, and that dust would be going to a good place

Putting spooky mons the gyms is cool but... why do they have to be powered up when they will decay quickly anyways?

I'm a top player in my town, and I only want to put top-quality mon in gyms. I also like to max out one perfect mon in each species, so this month seems like a good theme for spooky mon.

Maybe some of the new spooky Gen 3 Pokémon that are coming out?
