Would Cheaters Refrain from Polluting This Site, Please?
Recently, I'm seeing increased Q&As and tips related to cheating. This is a great, active board, and it's very disconcerting for honest players to see the quality of this Q&A section degrading. Please, take your cheats, and intentions to cheat, elsewhere.
Niantic and the Pokemon Company's plan for Pokemon GO extends well beyond 10 years. There is no rush. Please don't cheat, or promote cheating through any means.

For many people that's a pretty solid logic.
The problem becomes thats still in the eye of beholder.
Does someone powering up a pokemon to 40 effect your enjoyment?
Does someone using a Scanner?
Does someone using a IV checker so they know which pokemon is "best" to power up.
All of those things would give someone an edge vs you in damage balls, gyms, and potential pvp same as spoofing does.
Though spoofing is the worst cheating in pmg imo. I just find it ironic that people who technically cheat care that others cheat worse.
The core mechanic of the game is that you "Go" places but even spoofing doesn't bother me enough to make a whiny post about it. If Niantic is profiting from it or is otherwise too lazy or inept to stop it, why should I care? I'll let my money talk.

There is actually very little about involved with this game. It's mostly time, and money. Making decisions in which Pokemon to choose when attacking and what moves to assign them could be considered skill in a limited manner. Even battling is just tapping, and occasionally dodging. There's about as much skill in that as there is in going to pokestops to collect stuff.
So, if you see level 40 players, it just means they spent a lot more time playing this game, and likely much more money, so fret not!
There are many ways you could gain an advantage over everyone and in some views could be considered cheating, or a leg up. Yes spoofers suck, but so what? Someone buys a hundred eggs a week, casts some lures, and lights some incense every half hour. So what? Then they go on here and gets the IVs. So what? Eventually we will all get the same mons with high IVs it may just take some longer than others to do so.
And spending money? I don't know how much I have spent on the game. Probably a lot I guess, but it has been a year of enjoyment. But its my enjoyment. Funny how the same people who are so surprised, and talk to down to others, when and if they choose to spend money on their entertainment. They complain about it, and then they are the very ones that don't think twice about going to see a $15-20 movie or a $50-100 concert, or buy a $5 bottle of beer for for just a couple hours of enjoyment and somehow that is different. I see this strange behavior all the time. Pokemon go is many hours and exercise at the same time while satisfying my virtual hoarding addiction.
