Turn off GPS to continue fighting

Lately I can not stay to much time on a gym, so I have to turn off the GPS signal after the first attack so I can continue walking, this way I can fight only one time per gym obviously, but it works for me.

Does anyone do that?

Some people do that, cause gps sometimes jumps and so a fight ends unwanted.

It seems great to me: Go do a gym, switch GPS off, go to a warm restaurant, get a coffee and use all the time you need to take down the gym with warm fingers.

Seems to be great for training too.

I believe you need to start fighting before you can turn off the GPS tho.

Yes, you need to start the fight, and you can do it only one time, because next time you want to fight the game checks your position.

Well, I do not do that because of weather, I live in Argentina and it is getting real hot down here.

Don't be surpised if you get a warning for GPS spoofing if you're not visibly at a gym...

How does that work anyway? When I have my GPS offline, I don't see anything on the Pokemon GO map. I even get disconnected from gym battles.

You guys keep seeing the map and remain standing on the same position or so?

You would select the gym and then turn off GPS. It shouldn't disconnect you. If you need to reselect the gym, however, you won't be able to unless you are near it and with GPS on.

From what I remember, every time you fight a round at the gym you need to select the gym. If you have your GPS off, you won't be able to fight more than a round.
