14 attack IV Raikou

Hi, is there any game changing breakpoint that i cannot hit with a 14 attack Raikou? Otherwise i plan to take this fine specimen to the mid 30s :)

at level 39 thundershock goes from 6 to 7 against vape but I almost never spend that much dust on anything anyway so that wouldn't stop me.

Plus if you're able to get Raikou to level 39, then regardless of ivs, vaporeon should be easy peasy.

I don't understand people's obsession with break points. Do you know how much precious stardust and candy you have to waste to go from 6 damage to 7? In my opinion, definitely not worth it. I've got only 1 Dragonite slightly above level 30. I will never take another Pokemon above level 30 again. It'a a waste, IMO.

Correction: I also have a Blissey well above 30, but that's because I live in a high turnover city and needed something powerful to stay in gyms to get my coins.

It's only when you get to this breakpoint wizardry that you get to do the fun stuff like duo Tyranitar and trio Snorlax/Lapras :) Ain't no one doing them with L30 pokemon :)

One extra damage matters when you try to solo, or challenge a raid with a few amount of people. And 1 extra damage results in 1 extra damge per second for thunder shock, that brings significant difference. But if you are just playing in a large group, breakpoint does not matter.

But that is exactly the point. Checking breakpoints is a way to help decide whether or not powering above 30 is going to be worth the stardust investment.

If the last breakpoint against a raid boss is at level 32, then powering above that is only giving you a tiny bit more HP.

If you really like a certain pokemon and decide to power it to level 35 just because, but there is another breakpoint at level 35.5 then you are missing out.
