Try it. See if it works. If it doesn't work, try to figure out where it failed. Did you time out? Did you faint out? Did one mon die too fast? One not do enough damage? Just try it.

However, I think the answer is no. The tyranitars are all too low, most likely. Plus, you're probably better off switching out Gyarados for Espeon or Alakazam.

Edit: Once you try it, come back and ask more specific questions. You might get better answers.

I'd say they all need to be powered up a bit. Luckily for you there's a double stardust event happening now

Both of these responses are right on the money. Start powering the 95% Ttar, then the 89%, then the Zam.

Not sure the 76% ttar is worth it, the gengar and gary are pretty much there, maybe could use a little bump.

If you are good at dodging a focus blast gengar isn't too hard. For ShB and SLB, it's going to be much tougher. If you already got a powered golem use him vs sludge bomb.

Nigel7ofssc has a good point. Gengar is weak to ground types as well but there isn't any on your list. If you powered up a golem or rhydon for use against Raikou or entei then I would use that instead of the lower tyranitars

Not sure about golem and Rhydon. Although very good attackers I don't think They cut it soloing.

you really need to push the envelope on the DPS rate.

For example raiding gengar with H/SB: a raid is 180s so - pokemons time to win needs to be below 180. how much time does rhydon and golem need?

7 golem at lvl 35 need 186s. Golem will contribute to you timing out.

4 Rhys on at lvl 35 need 176 (its dps just high enough not to time out but in reality you need to be lower than just a few sec). Also, pulling up 4 rhydons to lvl 35 seems a bit expensive.

Compare lvl 30 options:
alakazam needs 150s,
tyranitar 146,
Gengar 136,
houndoom 150,
espeon 150.

I usally take 2 B/C tyranitar and 2 Zams + 1 gengar:

If it has FB gengar and Zam does it. If it doesn't tyranitar does it and I Don't really care about half my team getting wrecked by SB or FB; even if they do they will still pump out a great DPS rate in the short time they live.

Another bonus is that alakazam, espeon have excellent DPS against machamp. Even gengar has a okay DPS-rate vs machamp

You are not wrong at all that a team of all golems would time out. But I found sometimes the sludge bombs are fast and furious and as you pointed out all other counters are very high DPS but most are glassy. So they can build a buffer pretty quickly that you can utilize with a tankier option. That's why I suggested having one option that can resist poison. Obviously, not at the levels listed in the OP, but once you get them all around lv 30+ It's possible.

Edit: It's why I also said "if you have a powered golem", it's not worth it to power one up just for this purpose. I figured he might have one from the birds/beasts.

A lvl 30 tyranitar will last over 60s against sludge bomb. 120s left on 5 pokemons gives you around 24s each.

You don't really need to think of surviving if you got 1 or more tyranitar. Adding Rhydon to a team that has tyranitar will only lower your DPS. There is no need to survive longer than 180s

Edit: add to this he/she has a gengar the time for the remaining 4 pokemons will almost be 30s each against sludge bomb. More than enough for glass cannons.

Gengar is very easy esp sucker punch focus blast (take big psychics which you may already be developing for machamp)

Got to say you have a 95% ttar why wouldn't you power that up I've had 25 ttar raids and hatched another 20 larvitar and my best are 93%ers.

Imo:
Gengar is solid
Alakazam seems to have a high enough DPS but I would still take it to around lvl 30, it will put some iron in the glove
Take you B/C and B/SE tyranitar to around lvl 30.
If possible add another alakazam or espeon but gyarados would probably also work as a final clean up.

My clock starts at 175 sec. I network lag some on charge moves, but I just haven't beaten Gengar with some of the times people on the internet report. So "internet easy" is still kinda tough
This might be more typical if you don't have overwhelming power, like some of us now do:

I don't think so but would be interested to hear about your experience with this team. If you try Gengar with this setup, please let us know how it went.
