Top 12 CP Screenshot
I had a moment of weakness last night and blew 500K in stardust to power up my pokemon... yes, you heard me right, 500K. I had 600K and now down to 100K. I tried holding out as long as u could for Gen2, but I became bored of the game and thought this would get me back into it. I have some buyer's remorse as my long term goals were likely sacrificed but that's how it goes sometimes I guess. More grinding to do. The Thanksgiving stardust event helped he most, so hopefully Christmas will have something similar. The result is the screenshot below. I know, not that impressive compared to he hard core players here, but this is where I stand today at Level 32.
Feel free to share your Top 12 Screenshot if you got the balls to.

Level 37. My Top 12 plus 3 "Reserves"
Notes
1. An asterisk at the beginning of the name means the mon has perfect IVs. Dragonite, Vaporeon, and Jolteon came from the wild (I've only ever encountered perfect Dratini's and Eevee's in the wild).
2. A "2" at the beginning means it has a top attacking moveset, whereas a "3" means it has a top defensive moveset. If there is a "+" after the number then it's still an "A" ranked moveset but not the top one per GamePress (i.e. Snorlax has ZH/BS, the second listed defensive moveset but still an "A" so it gets the "3+" designation).
3. The letters "X/X" signify what the moveset is ranked in attack and defense on GamePress (i.e. Dragonite has DB/DP which is a B offensive and defensive moveset, or B/B).
4. A letter immediately after the first number is used to show the IV, which is why the mons with an asterisk do not have a letter after the first number. A = 97.8, B = 95.6, C = 93.3, D = 91.1, E= 80-89, F = Below 80
5. Recently I added attacking tier info. On the Vaporeon for example, T1-6 means "Tier 1" and he has the sixth best moveset in that tier. If you see a "•" that means his moveset is also on the Top Defenders list.
I think that pretty much covers the naming. As far as the catching I've been fortunate enough to be in So Cal but I've also spent over $2k in the game (mostly on incubators). It really paid off in the Thanksgiving event because I hatched a number of Lapras and Snorlax, because before that I hadn't even hatched one. Almost quit the game a few times due to all the bad luck I was having with 10k eggs.
Cheers!
Hah seriously tho. Between coming up with a convoluted naming system and hatching eggs it's pretty much all I do in this game now.
Edit: Forgot something, and you were saying... ?
The reason the three defensive moveset mons have "nicknames" is because I only put tier info for top attacking mons. The Dragonite also has a nickname because shit he isn't a top anything, but he is my one perfect Dragonite.
Thanks my friend. Honestly dude, sounds crazy but I credit you for part of this. I seriously almost dropped the game a handful of times being a mid-30s level with no Snorlax or Lapras. You kept me pushing man, and then I went from the unluckiest person to the luckiest SOB on this game during Thanksgiving.
I wanted to post about it and shout you out, but figured only we'd get it and people would have thought I was a tool or something lol.
Cheers to you my friend!
Shit seriously. Thought about writing into Niantic about it but knew it would fall on deaf ears, and besides once you take the emotion out of it, I know it's just basic statistics. I was an outlier for sure but it's evened out now plus some considering the timing.
But yeah thank you my dude. Although I must say, looking at your lineup, how you approach the game, and what resources you have around you I'm much more impressed by what you've been able to accomplish. You're the real King here!
I'm afraid to add up what I've spent incubators and on gas driving to the lake every morning, especially since the closest lakes spawns were removed. Even wore out a stroller and got tenosynovitis in my foot from walking. Never expected to put so much money and effort into this when I started. I just wanted to beat the gym down the road...lol
Don't do the math! I was so pissed at myself after doing it. ?
That's commitment, and I don't even know what tenosynovitis is but it sounds horrible. I don't even care about updates on my end, I know how fortunate city players are, but I hope Niantic takes care of you and other rural players ASAP. Christmas event? ??
Thank you! I'm especially pretty proud of my Muk.
I replied in another recent thread titles "Muk" how awesome of a mon he is. He looks cool and he is fun to use. I use him against any fairy or fighting type I come across, and frankly I use him against a lot of grass types too (even though the big grasses have that secondary type). Given his high CP and that I dodge I'm able to get through multiple regardless.
If you like Muk and get a good move set, I say power him up! Just keep in mind after level 30 Stardust is a bitch, so you might want to stop there.
Greetings from Thailand! Level 35 playing since Day1 here with no GPS spoofing, spent quite some on incubators and Lucky Eggs. Quite fortunate to live next to a small canal where Dratini and Magikarp spawn frequently. The first 2 Dragonites are 100% IV caught as Dratini right at my place during the first 2 months when the "Pokedex Number IV bug" was still in effect. The 3000CP Gyarados is also 100% IV caught as Magikarp. The Snorlax and Lapras were both hatched.
