If you were lucky to catch Mewtwo but "low" iv how long would you wait until powering up?

Let's say you were lucky to get an ex pass and caught Mewtwo! But iv was 84% or lower with attack stat being 12 or lower. Would you...
1. Max it out right away it's freaking Mewtwo
2. Wait to see how raids play out, if you choose this option how long do you wait? 1 week, 2 weeks etc what's your breaking point
3. Don't power it up because you only power up +90% or whatever number you choose.

I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on this as I'm sure the people who have caught Mewtwo are thinking this unless obviously you were lucky to catch a great iv like I've seen a few YouTubers caught 93.3%

I caught a 2209cp 12a/12d/10s and I have it at level 30--3314cp. However, I also put 225 rare candy already into Mewtwo candy to be able to survive this event

  1. No matter how long it takes. Mewtwo isn't an exception either, it's just the way I play and what I want my Pokedex to look like for my end goal for all my Pokémon.

My rare candy (and future RC) has been renamed Mewtwo candy. Since I have 95 Raikou candy--that is enough for me for a long time. Making it a point to not worry about Entei and Suicune. Have Zapdos at level 32, Moltres and Lugia at level 30--don't care about powering Articuno. Candy is the concerning resource, any dust to any Mewtwo better than it going anywhere else

I have to wait for the next go around of the Birds. I have over 70 Candies a piece in all of them, but only caught a Lugia at 91%. Had a 96% flee from me and I've never encountered any of the other 3 Legendary birds above 89%. Raikou was starting to look that way as well until I finally caught a 96% followed by a 91% the following day. If I don't get a higher one by the end of the month, I'm going to max out the 96% Raikou and save the 91% for future trading.
Once I get a Mewtwo no matter what the IV , it's going to clear up some bag space since I'll be dropping about 150 Rare candies into it until I finally catch a better one.
That 91% Lugia was my current project but I stopped it at Level 31 once I leveled up. I have 3 maxed out 100%ers that always take priority once I can power them up again.

At the end of Lugia I got a 96%. I got two 96% Moltres, two 96% Zapdos, finally got a 96% Raikou today. I never cared about Articuno. To me "maxing out" Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou is bringing them to 3000cp. After I do that I'll have to see a major change in the game to bother with my extra 96% Zapdos, 96% Moltres, and five other 93% Raikous. I get being selective on %IVs. If I get another EX pass tomorrow, then I might have some comfort that I'll eventually get 5+ Mewtwos--right now, forecasting a total of 3

I caught a 73.3 10s/13a/10d that I brought to level 30 right away. I have lots of rare candy, and I can usually make up 75k dust in 2 or 3 days (1 w/ event). I've used mewtwo a bunch already, and he'll be a big help next mewtwo raid I'm lucky enough to get into.
This is the only time I've made an exception like this, and I definitely won't take it higher

All long as they are giving out raid passes, I'll wait. Over 90 and I'll take to level 30. 96 or higher and I'll max. I haven't touched these two and I hope I don't have to.

I would choose #2, but I do not know how long I would wait. Choosing #1 evidences lack of patience. Choosing #3 evidences adherence to arbitrary rules. If my wait under choice #2 got too long, I would choose #1, for no other reason than that would give me a Mewtwo with which to play. It might be a long wait under the strict dogma of choice #3. Playing with a sub-optimal Mewtwo is better than playing with no Mewtwo. Comments anyone?

yes, if i have to play with what i consider my oversized meowth i will have no choice.

I only take a very few things to 35 (96% Dragonite and 100% Tyranitar) and nothing to max. Taking a 76% Mewtwo to level 30 and stopping, easy and reasonable. If I next get an 89% Mewtwo I'll take it to 30 again, wait to see if I get a better one, then take that to 35.

I'm going to wait until they are universally rolled out to determine this. I've got two 84% IV Mewtwos, which is the highest IV I won't powerup. Fortunately, they both have hyper beam so they would require a TM as well and that's more resources than I want to spend right now.

But once EX-raids are "out" if they are bi-weekly or more frequently than that, then I'll wait til I get a better one, if they are monthly then I might start to consider powering one of these 84%ers to Lv 30. I had always intended to Max one (w/SB) and keep one at lv 30 (w/P or FB) so this wouldn't be the worst candidate.
