WTF Niantic?? From Stone Edge to Crunch need 25 CTM!!
I was prepare my Ttar for Mewtwo counter army. All 4 my Ttar was Stone Edge.
So I decide to change the last two Ttar to Crunch, but I spent 25 CTM! It was just jumping from Fire Blast to Stone Edge and reverse! This is f-king crazy. Niantic you must change this f-king CTM system!!
What about you guys?
have you ever had same bad experience about using these Charge TM?

I feel like you have no idea about random number generators or statistics. Sure, that's abysmal luck, but that's also an outlier from the norm. For most of us, 1~3 CTMs will do it. Eventually something like this has to happen. Heck, I spent 7 CTMs on my Tyranitar to get Crunch before I knew that Stone Edge was fine too, but none of my other TM usages have required more than 4. That's randomness, baby.
Ouch! I feel your pain but I think MithrosFall is right.
Even though I've been stung in the past – not as bad as that, I admit! – I really like the RNG. Loads of great games throughout history have had an element of luck and players have to take the rough with the smooth.
The alternatives are being stuck with whatever you're given (old system) or being able to choose your moves which would make the game boring IMO because so many people would have similar mons.
Yep, Mithos has it. Every CTM used on a non-legacy move (when the mon has 3 charged moves) has a 50% chance of getting you the move you desire, and 50% of getting the other. The best use of a CTM is in a case where the charged move is 1 bad one with two good ones, as in Tyranitar with Fire Blast. CTM gives you either Stone Edge (very good) or Crunch (very good).
Now, to have 25 CTMs not give you the move you want is a (0.5)^25 chance, or 1 in 33,554,432. You hit the unlucky lottery, pal. Here's the reality.
The next TM you use has a 50% chance of getting you crunch. So does the one after that. The 25 that have happened are in the past, and don't affect the odds going forward - if we assume the process is fair.
One of the things I want is a Typhlosion with Fire Spin and Overheat. My fourth evolve, and I have two with Solar Beam and two with Fire Blast (Flame Blast, whatever). Next one has a 1/3 chance of getting Overheat. (Mind you, this isn't really relevant to the strategic game. I just want one cause it's fun for me, and I'm not spending TMs on Typhlosion.) Odds are odds, do a little math. With the number of pogo players out there, there will be a number of stories of people defying the odds - and sadly, you're one of them on this issue.
Even if time of day is not one of the seeds for the RNG, waiting a bit would allow your temper to cool down and give you some time to go check some websites for ratings to see how much better that charge move you want really is.
Stone Edge vs Crunch on Tyranitar is probably not worth that many TMs. Find some friends to do some more Tyranitar raids.
There are other moves that have much more significant differences. I spent about six charge TMs for Wild Charge on Raikou. I think that beast was well worth it and I enjoy every time I use it. That also offsets some of the times I have gotten the charge move I wanted with only one charge TM.
The code may slightly differ from what other developers wrote, but they will have used something common.
Like taking a pretty precise timestamp the moment you touched OK. Then took the last five digits and distributed this number to three. The results 0, 1 and 2 would refer to one of the possible chargemoves.
In this case the daytime doesn't matter since you need only the mirco- and milliseconds. That would change if they for example choose the first or second cross sum of the timestamp to go on with.
However, i bet they invented nothing new.
People are wasting so. many. resources. preparing for Mewtwo. Unless you're in a very specific, player-poor area, stop throwing away your stardust and rare, valuable TMs trying to optimize these great green, Dark armies. It's just not going to be that hard. And neither is the post-battle catch rate. The level of resources simply isn't commensurate with this niche use.
