Which Pokemon to buddy? (Complete the dex first?)

So I have a few projects that I would like to complete right now, but as I can only walk one pokemon, who should I prioritise first (right now I'm on option 3)

Offensive Dragonite @ Lv28 (DB/DC, 40 IV) (I don't go hunting for Dratinis, by chance I usually bump into one once a week) Defensive Dragonite @ Lv 20 (SW/DC, 98 IV) Charmeleon (Don't have Charizard Yet, 53 candy. 0 charmanders caught in last 3 months, 1 hatched) Grimer (Don't have Muk yet, 27 Candy, see a grimer once every 2-3 weeks perhaps?) Kabuto (Don't have Kabutops yet, 19 Candy. Never see them usually) Walk one of my two Snorlax (@243 and 637CP respectively, 67 IV, best off/def moveset respectively)

Grimer in my opinion. Never heard of a nest, although I've heard of Charmander nests. Kabuto takes too long to walk for candies (you'll probably hatch one from a 10km egg eventually).

No reason to ever walk the Snorlax (way too low CP to power them, so unless you're pre-stocking candies for if you catch a better one...)

Dragonites - you've got 2 at decent levels. Sounds like you've gotten the candies pretty consistently.

3 or 5, then 4. Grimer come from 5ks which seem to be the most common egg type, so if you walk it as a buddy there's a bit more chance that you end up "wasting" some distance if you end up getting more than enough Grimer candies from an egg.

I'm at level 30, have hatched about 200 eggs and never got a Grimer...

I had a similar dilemma and walked to fill my Pokedex. Went Grimer first, got lucky with Kabuto eggs (didn't hatch one until lvl 30 and suddenly found a spawn spot and hatched three in a row at lvl32), Just 16 candies to go for Charizard... Charmander has been my biggest blocker (and oddly was my 'starter').

Filling my Pokedex is less logical than walking something more useful, but I decided that was my aim.

Grimer....always grimer to complete the dex

This really just comes down to what you want most. If you want to get higher up in gyms go with 2. If you power that one up it can sit atop many gyms. If you don't really care then go with what you thinks cool. I love my Muk but its no gym beast. Best advice is no to 1 and 6. 1 should already be a decent attacker and them Snorlax would take a million miles.

What is the most rare pokemons, In my case that would be Porygon and grimer. So I would take grimer. In the meantime You got chances to hatch a kabuto, Dratini or snorlax.

But in Your case, 58 Charmander candies, pretty surprinsing he is so rare were You leave. Than Yes I should choice charmander and hoping You could get candies of the other ones by hatching. If You hatch a Charmander there is not a big numbers of Candies with it. With 5-10Km eggs there would be more candies.

The starters are killing me too. I had to walk more than 100KM to get my first Venusaur and just barely got enough candies for a Charizard. That took nearly 70KM. Only have 24 Squirtle candies at the moment.

I'd probably go with the Charmeleon or the Grimer. Looks like you have decent access to Dratini candy and you're better off waiting for a better/higher level Snorlax rather than dumping in a TON of candy and dust. The Kabuto will take more than 150KM and Kabutops isn't that great.

Wow dude, you don't have luck with ANY of the starters? I've caught a wild Venusaur in the first week (even before I caught an Ivysaur, which was wild again)
Also caught a wild Blastoise and have 3 of them right now.
No luck with Charizard though (or its pre-evolutions)

I would never walk for something just to complete the dex unless I really like that Pokemon! I feel like eventually you'll get all the candy you need and then walking all those km were wasted.

I'd rather invest in Pokémon I like and want to power up.

On a long term plan: just walk Snorlax.
You'd be very very happy with it.
I wish I hadn't walked anything else myself...

Which one though, I assume you mean the defending one?

It is definitely on my wish list- in fact I've pumped my attacking Dragonite from 737 CP (wild catch) to 2677, though that's a combination of Dratini catches, the halloween 4X candy bonus and some three months of work. Not sure how long the Snorlax would take to be battle worthy, could be 6 months at this rate.

When you'll have enough candies, assuming you don't get any new better Snorlax (but even if you do, 2 or 3 Snorlax is better then 1...), yes, I'd say power up the defensive one.

It's a long run but it pays off much more than pokedex (which by that time you might have completed either way).

P.s.: Your attacking Dragonite is probably fine at level 28.
