I have 3 of them already over 3,000 CP and I have used only the daily free pass. So some people have a lot more than me.
I don't have an EX invite yet. So I may just want to get a 4th Ttar. Since I don't have a Mewtwo, the only legendary that make sense to me to level up would be Raikuo. So I think my choice would be a second Raikuo or a 4th Ttar. I have two 100% Muk from raids. I'm not seeing a reason to level up those.
Dust is the most sought-after resource in the game at the moment, so for that reason alone I'm looking forward to it. The better 2 km eggs are also nice, although there is the downside to only getting a 2k-egg's amount of candy for these rare 'mons.
I think the Super Incubator is kind of lame. 1.5x isn't that much of an improvement and I doubt the boxes will be worth whatever they choose to charge in Pokecoins.
Ultimately it's a nice little bonus while those of us still waiting for an EX raid pass or Mewtwo to roll out en masse (probably the latter at this point) continue to feel frustrated!
That's all? I got this confused with the raid XP and thought 10,000 X 3 (or do you get > 10,000 for legendary raids? Haven't done any) would be a great incentive, although perhaps a bit much.... On the other hand, with a lucky egg (on sale) you can double your raid XP and it can increase interest in raids and raid pass sales for that reason.
Still, I'm desperate for dust and welcome this event. I also assume that after the anniversary gift box fiasco these upcoming ones will be worth it. Niantic is capable of learning from mistakes :-)
True but this might possibly be a hint that gen 3 is coming sooner then we think.. Just a assumption, but why else would they make it so if you get a new pokedex entry you get triple the xp when most the people have there pokedex completed or about completed?
Maybe to get people that started late or didn’t have time to grind to get out and complete there dex so they can be caught up with everyone else. And giving players triple the xp for dex entry’s will probably get people to go out and do just that.
I’m just assuming this, but it does and would make a lot of sense and it gives the players that already have there dex basically completed the incentive to go out as well, since your getting double the stardust and special 2km eggs.
If I use normal incubators to clear out my egg box, I can collect quite a lot of the special 2K-eggs during a nice evening stroll: Three incubators for a paltry 450 coins will clear all nine 5K-eggs with only 15 km of walking, to be refilled with special 2K-eggs, during which time I also can hatch another seven 2K-eggs using my permanent incubator. All this with double stardust from hatching.
It's a nice little event, but nothing amazing.
Double Stardust: Nice, but personally I don't spend much, so I don't need it.
Special 2km Eggs: I don't mind. There's not really any Pokemon that I absolutely need, but some extra candies for rare Pokemon will be nice.
Double XP for new Pokemons: I think most who have played from the start (or close to it) has most Pokemon by now, so it's nothing huge. But it will give new players a chance to get some extra XP and catch up. If anyone is thinking of starting to play, now is the time ;)
Special boxes: Not sure yet. Depends on what will be in them. We know of special incubators, lucky eggs and lure modules and those things doesn't really make me go "wow". Lucky eggs is always nice to have, but if it's the only thing in a Box then it will probably not be worth getting it. Also, we don't know the price of the boxes yet.
Wouldn't mind getting a good deal on Raid passes though, because I'm running low on them.
