So ex raids..

Are they going to be at just sponsored locations or what? We have gotten very little info about these ex raids except there "field testing" them which is nothing new with niantic not letting us know anything there doing til last minute. If that is the case and niantic decide to keep it this way, every sprint and Starbucks location should have a gym and not a select few.

It really isn't fair for rural players at this point since the closest Starbucks or sprint store can be miles away, And if those locations only have pokestops imagine how much farther they would have to go to find a sponsored location with a gym. And I don't even live in a rural area and I feel there pain!

I know this is a assumption right now since we still don't know exactly how these ex raids will be after field testing is done but I feel like niantic are going to possibly keep it this way... Let's hope not.

This is a big slap in the face to dedicated players who don't or can't raid at these locations. Many people are getting their second invite. Please stop giving them your money!

Also a slap in the face to rural players. We have a few Starbucks gyms in my little town and no one from my discord has recieved an invite there. So there may some minimum amount of players threat are needed to trigger invites.

You obviously have enough legendaries, I sure as heck do. I got my EX pass from a Sprint store yesterday, makes no difference of the tier. Wondering if it would have given me a Starbucks if I didn't get that Sprint in at the end, been two weeks since I did a Starbucks

Pretty sure you would of had to of done it sooner then 2 weeks ago to get a invite from the other location and if you did two raids at both locations during the same day you would of got a invite possibly to both of them.

yeah it sucks. its still in test tho, so they say soo...my parents live on maui and raiding there is impossible and the only sprint store closed down a couple months ago. i hated it there playing when the legendaries came out. it was hell, sitting and waiting for 2hours for like 1 or 2
ppl to show up, so i can feel the pain. it seems its sprint stores for now, maybe some starbucks, but i got mine from a sprint store today, i live in manhattan, but only because i stumbled on an ex raid last week and made sure to go back and raid there. sure enough, i got one today. i hope that they expand it to all sprints, starbucks and mcds that would be great for everyone.

It seemed a full go for Starbucks in my city, pretty much every really active discord raider got an EX pass today. More of them got them from Starbucks than Sprint. A great thing for us that secure a Mewtwo, unloading rare candy--I only have 200 RC and it weighs me down a bit (still only at 500 bag space).
I can kinda see the sponsor-side, it is essentially extra and free, you'll get your other free daily pass that day

I agree with some of your post and could understand having to waste storage space. The only problem is and a lot of other people agree, niantic's intentions with the game at first was for you to go out, explore parks near you, go outside and travel to different areas and meet new people. Now it's like the complete opposite, they still want you to meet new people but now they want you to go to shopping centers and malls. See what I'm getting at? And I'm a active/hardcore player as well, but I don't have the time or would rather not go to a raid inside a mall, shopping center or Starbucks to do a raid when I can go to a park or go to a different area/town to do a raid.

My bet is that they will get it out in a few weeks.

Maybe they are just trying to make it exclusive, so they won't have to read posts about how the Legendaries aren't special enough.

My closest sponsored stop is thousands of miles (and a plane trip) away.

Sheesh ? That is ridiculous and completely sucks if that is a legit situation your in if you want to get mewtwo. I could only imagine how other people in the same boat as you are probably feeling about this situation.

Let's hope niantic makes the right decision, raids at this point are the only thing keeping this game alive and even now most people are getting tired/fatigue of having 1 legendary for the whole month and the same raid bosses we have had for months since raids were released.

Niantic, Which direction will you go from here? The ball is in your court.

I raided a sponsored Starbucks and no one received an invite to that particular one just took the cash for any extra raids done with real $ at that particular location from people who thought Starbucks might be the next sponsored Gyms. Rip off City.

my guess is that America will get entai next and then suicune last with Mewtwo released at the same time to maximize pass sales as no one really wants to pay for passes to suicune.

Also they will have to release them at non sponsored stops eventually many countries don't even have sponsored stops. Wont stop it being unfair though as those in japan and America will effectively have twice the chances as those in say south America, Australia Singapore etc.

I can't believe they would keep them in sponsored gyms indefinitely. But they probably will do so for the next several weeks when they'll get the largest crowds in order to (theoretically) help out the sponsors.

Most of European countries don't have sponsored gyms, nor american branded malls!

Your right and I didn't even think about how it would effect other countries that don't even have sponsored gyms. Its a shame.. I think certain areas in Europe did receive a non-sponsored ex raid invite, but that is also because they just had a sponsored event there in that same area so that would make sense.

wow that sucks, even in the phillipines they have sponsors and they are not american branded i don't think, just based on the retail in the area.
