What does the aprasal system actually do?

Reason i ask is ive just noticed i have 3 vaporions, one is still low cp but best moveset!
The two others have same moveset one shows as 'wow' and the other shows as crap on the aprasal!
The wow one is smaller hight, lower bodyweight, lower cp, lower hp!
The other is bigger hight, bigger weight, higher cp and higher hp!
You'd think the bigger one's aprasal would say its better! But nope! My aprasor says that one is the rubbish one! How can that be! With same moveset and better hp+cp??

Appraisal is only about IV. Not about Moveset or CP. And that sentence about height and weight is apparently meaningless.

I love salty people dislikin it.
They cant just give stats on pokemon screen so they waste your time on literal bullshit that tells me my pokemon is tiny or huge....
Like i cant see it already

The size part of the appraisal is truly a waste of time, but for the more casual players who don't feel like using/downloading an IV calculator (and even the ones that do), the appraisal system is useful for indicating which mons will be more effective to use than others, and since my raid victories can be affected by other player's usefulness I welcome anything to push them in a more productive direction. For what it's worth, I'm also not one of those that disliked.

its so you can instantly throw away anything less than the best without doing the iv thing, and with this game, size does not matter, except for badges.

https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/pokemongo-iv-calculator#/

  • The total IV percentage.
  • Which particular IVs (HP, attack, and/or defense) that are the highest or tied for highest values.
  • A range for the highest IVs.

The appraisal system appraises your Pokémon . There are many simple explanations on this site you didn't need to ask us lol
