No variety to raids

Should there be more variety to raids?

I've seen about as many enteis last week in my local area as other raids put together.

IMO the variety of raids should be greater.

I did 15 Raikou and a Tyranitar today. I even tapped out early.

People are not interested in variety. Of all the raid bosses how many would you spend your passes on? I can tell 2. Entei (raid 5), T-Tar. If I don't find a group I'd go for exeggutor or magikarp not to lose the free pass. So many days I can't be bothered and just prefer to lose my pass... The only motivation to raid are rare candy and TMs. How would variety improve that?

Your point reflects on a problem with the game that there's not enough pokemon worth raiding. That's a flaw with the game itself.

If there was more pokemon worth raiding that's better than catching a dozen enteis and getting bored.

For variety I'm looking to gen 3 where bosses can be fresh and new.

Imo level 2 and under raids should be free even if they have to drop the rewards to do it. Having one free worthwhile battle a day unless you pay is pretty meh.

But as it stands I think most in my area would quickly be bored of Diversity! among current raids if more mons meant lessened spawns of Ttar and Raikou. Honestly nothing else is ever raided here unless it's soloed. With the exception of 2 or so mons, the addition of other mons to current raids would equal a couple days of happiness followed by pure apathy. It would even worsen the whole thing if we lost Ttar to rotation to get any of those mons added. I don't know what useful mon isn't raidable right now except Dragonite.

To my mind, variety is interesting if we can beat them solo. More variety in tiers 1-2 seem to be interesting, then we put Exeggutor, Blastoise, Venusaur and Charizard tier 3, maybe Alakazam and Gengar tier 4, so it can be more interesting.
Too much variety in tier 3 makes tier 3 solo more difficult...

Variety might be nice in theory, but I can't even get a raid group lately to begin with. Every Raikou I've seen the last couple days, I get maybe one person replying with interest in the local raid chat group, yet when the first Raikou appeared, enough people showed up that we had to split into two groups.

And the one Tyranitar that popped up in the area yesterday was supposedly going to have six of us, but when I drove 5 miles to get there, I was the only one who even showed up. At least I needed to go into town anyway to do some shopping.

In the last four days, I've only managed to find a group for two raids, and one of those took my pass, then glitched me and wouldn't let me join the fight, along with two other people, so we sat around for 45 minutes trying to get enough people to come for a 2nd group. We didn't.

What they need to do is make raid rewards worthwhile enough that people will actually show up again, and cutting the time to raid in half by bringing back eggs sure didn't help. I haven't been able to do a single raid since the eggs returned, so yesterday's pass just went to waste.

Variety idea1: Every raid (or at least non-legendary) could spawn as a Level 2-3-4 (5) version. Since the only thing level does is effect hps it shouldn't be hard to do.

Variety idea2: bonus reward (similar to gyms)
Lapras = charge tm
Snorlax = fast tm
Charizard = 5 Rare Candy

I've also had the thought that scaling difficulty for raids based on how many players are challenging it could be a worthwhile idea. The reward values and IV ranges could also be decreased to prevent one person from doing multiple legendary or T5 raids to stock up on good items and OP mons, but I feel like this could really solve some of the issues that rural players in particular have run into by not being able to put together large enough teams to beat high tier raids. This and leaving candy and dust rewards the same would make the raids still worth doing without throwing the game too out of balance.

It's even worse here. Everyone wants Tyranitar instead of the useless Suicune, but can't find one.
