So now you have to visit every single gym in town to find out which one will grant you an invite? Interesting.

According to the reddit post he got the invite when he opened the app, so no need to interact with the gym.

Niantic has an office close to this gym. It is also the gym where Moltres first appeared. This is likely the "trial" they referred to in the announcement.

The time frame suck. I can only spend 1 hour a day for raids so even if I get an invitation, I wouldn't be able to attend most of the time. They should do it a 10 hours window or 3 separate 2 hour windows throughout the day.

You are making it much harder to get a proper group together to finish the boss. The short window is the best way to guarantee people will show up at the same time.
