Why did they have to remove the gen 1 starters from eggs?! Why?! My only dream in this game right now is to get a Bulbasaur with at least 40/45 IVs. Oh and what gets to stay in eggs? SPINARAK and NATU, WHY? They even removed Magnemite, what the hell Niantic

You can get a perfect venusaur right now, wouldn't be easy but hatching 1000+ eggs wasn't easy either.

I'm sure I will be ridiculed by many for saying this but for a future team member, in this case Venusaur, I prefer to have caught it as a first stage evolution then evolve it because then it feels more like the main games where you grow together with your Pokemon. If I were to just catch a high IV Venusaur from a raid, then it would sort of ruin that experience. I know this is obviously not the most strategic way of playing, but it is a play style that I find to be much more entertaining. Plus I want all of my new dex entries to be during evolving storms for that extra exp. Although if I evolved one all the way then happened to get a higher iv one from a raid, then I am sure I would end of using that one anyways.

True, I did 2 Venusaur raids the first day and they were pretty tough, I didn't catch either. A lot of players horde candy these days, so an opportune hatch could have someone evolve instead of attempting a raid of starters

And some of us can't even do t4 raids because we don't have enough people for them... so unless we come across a nest, hatching is our best bet for those mon.

Just get a good scanner in your arear

Even if a scanner shows IVs they aren't the same for every player anymore, plenty of Dragonites my local one purported to be 80%+ turned out to be terrible.

Because Niantic put gen 2 starters in eggs. Removing Magnetmite might discourage some players, since Magnezone will be one of the strongest electric attacker. I might be tempted to walk Magnemite instead of Larvitar, just for the dex entry.

Go to any port or technology/science park. There are always loads of them.

If your only dream is to have a bulbasaur with at least 40/45, i suggest finding a new dream.

That said, putting Spinarak and Natu in eggs is daft. They should cut out all the rubbish from eggs then more people might buy incubators.

Venusaur is not my only dream team member. I obviously plan on having a full balanced team of six. I exaggerated a bit when I said "my only dream" because Venusaur is my favorite gen 1 Pokemon and it is the Pokemon I want the most right now.
