30 Raikou raid and not a single 100iv!

I did 30 raikou raids since raikou has been released in the states. I have yet to see the magic number 1913. The highest I caught was 1906cp which is 98% iv but I really want 100%iv what am I doing wrong? How do I find 100%iv legendarys?

It all comes down to RNG. There are 216 IV combinations from 10/10/10 to 15/15/15 for raid bosses so you only have a 1 in 216 chance of encountering a perfect one.

To add onto this, that means there's a 215 in 216 chance of not getting a perfect Pokemon in each raid, or a probability of 0.99537037 (99.54%).

So if OP has done 30 raids, then the chance of not seeing a perfect one would be (0.99537037)^30 = 0.870044084 or 87%. Or you can say the chance of finding a perfect raid boss after 30 raids is only around 13%.

And despite their being 216 different IV permutations, doing 216 raids does not guarantee it, 0.99537037^216 = ~0.367, or in other words, a 36.7% chance of still not getting a perfect one after 216 raids.

This satisfies me more than it should.

also, that is just seeing it, that is not even taking in to account the odds of catching it.

Luck. There is only a 1/216 chance of getting a perfect. (6 IV options for each of three stats). 30 is 1/7 (roughly) of 216. With 30 attempts, you only have a 13% chance of seeing at least one perfect IV. Doing 150 raids will give you a 50% chance at it.

It's all rng really but look at the bright side, you could be like that guy from my area that had a perfect iv raikou run from him the 2nd day.

And I haven't seen a 100% IV after any raid of any type. The best I've seen from any raid was a 98% Articuno that got away. So to answer your question, what you're doing wrong is expecting 100% IVs to be easy.

Well, heh, I take back what I said about having never seen a 100% from a raid. I just got this from the very next raid I did. That's RNG for you.

This has got to be a troll post surely. There is no there way to explain it.

One of the people in my raid group today caught a perfect IV Raikou, so it is obviously possible.

Why would you expect a 100% one after 30?

The chance is much rarer than 1 in 30.

You must know this...so why ask? Theres litterally nothing extra you can do to change the IV results...its just random chance. Nobody can give you any advice other than 'keep raiding'

And tbh why even bother after getting a 98%? I know its 'nicer' to have a 100% but the difference is so tiny compared to a 98 one..its not worth your time and effort going for one with a single Iv point more..,

We cant be perfectionists to that extent where a 98% isn't good enough and only 100 will do.

Enjoy your 1 iv from perfect Legendary. Many would love to get one with Ivs as good.
