When did single evolves change to 300 stardust and double evolves to 500?

If you catch a single evolve pokemon you get 300 stardust, and a doubly evolved pokemon you get 500. This is a great way to score some dust, especially if you find low CP easy catch evolved mons.

When did this happen? Have I been missing out since the game inception?

it was definitely before the double event. not sure exactly when though, I've been prioritizing evolutions over base forms for a long time now. Only reason to even try catching ariados.

At the same time they increased candy for evolved catches - making pinaps quite tasty indeed! Hoping for a berry to increase dust too...
