Why is Jynx' rating only a 6?
Looking throught the newly updated gym attackers tier list, I noticed that Jynx is now a tier 3 attacker. Now I'm wondering why Jynx' rating in the Pokémon list is only a six while every other tier 3 attacker is at least an 8...
It's not like it's not yet updated, since Alakazam and Gengar are rated 9 or something
For comparison, according to the rating, Jynx is equal to Raticate and Persian. How does a Pokémon equal to Raticate and Persian become a tier 3 attacker?

You are right. Jynx should be 7,5..8. I don't see her higher, because her position as "poor-mans-lapras for attacking dragons" is better taken by cloyster.
The PKM-Rating seems to be partially up to date. It is updated for the old and new top-pkm but maybe not for all the others.
I would give Rating according to position on attack- / defense - lists. So 7,5..8 looks good for me (barely tier 3 for attacking, nothing for defending).
Jynx is a Tier 3 attacker because she counters Dragonite. Especially DB Dragonites. People love putting their shiny Dragonites in gyms, so having something that counters them is really important.
I think Jynx is only rated 6 because...
1) That's a pretty narrow niche.
2) There are 2 pokemon that are better at fulfilling that niche.
3) Outside of that niche, she's pretty terrible.
-She has 6 weaknesses and only 2 resistances.
-Every other Pokemon in that tier has a single bar charge move with significantly more DPS than Jynx.
Finally comparing her with Raticate... Raticate actually compares pretty well to her. Both her quick moves have better DPS than Bite, but Bite has better EPS and a lower cool down so it is better for dodging. With as squishy as they both are, that's important. For charge moves, Hyper Beam blows all of Jynx's charge moves out of the water. Hyper Fang doesn't quite have the DPS of Jynx's charge moves, but it has the neat little perk of fitting between any 1+ second CD quick move, which lets Raticate use Hyper Fang every time it is up while maintaining perfect dodging. Raticate also has the perk of being reasonably good against almost the entire cast and having 1k less max CP than her... which makes him a pretty amazing generalist prestiger. That is a much much wider niche than Jynx has.
I disagree with the comparison to raticate. Ratacate has much lower cp, and thus, he is only usable for prestige.
Prestiging may be a valuable property, but afaik this is not evaluated in list of attackers, defenders or in pkm-rating. For this reason, there could be another list, it does not make sense to try to integrate it into any existing list or rating.
I agree, Raticate has no buisness being on the Attacker Tier List, and he isn't. Jynx has a useful niche against the highest CP pokemon in the game, so she is.
However, the original poster was complaining that Jynx had the same Pokemon Rating as Raticate. I'm pretty sure that measures the Pokemon's general usefulness. Jynx is only useful for fighting Dragonite, Raticate is only useful for Prestiging... sounds about equal in terms of overall usefullness.
It appears that we disagree on what exactly the Pokemon Rating measures.
