Top 5 new raid bosses
Since we can assume that niantic may switch out some of the raid bosses in the near future (non-legendary) what 5 mons from gen 1 or 2 would you like to see as a raid boss?
My top 5
5.)Cloyster or Piloswine ( Either one I would be fine with Both great ice attackers, piloswines upside is it has another evolution in later gen.)
4.)Tangela (Underrated grass mon that is just as rare as porygon and has a evolution in the later gen tangrowth. One of my favorite mons to use.)
3.)Porygon (Unique mon, pretty rare and hard to find depending where you live, would help rural players or lower level players if they still needed it and has his gen 2 evolution porygon2 and his later evolution porygonZ in the later gen. Would be interesting how he would be as a raid boss.)
2.)Golem (Best rock type even going into gen 3 unless rhydon gets a rock quick move but even then golem would still be better dps wise, I could use more golems atleast.)
1.)Dnite (Most hardcore or long time players should have atleast 1 or 2 or a army of them so it only seems right to put dnite as a raid boss.)

Given what was seen in Yokohama, my guess is we could probably expect some of these to carry over.
Dnite, Wobba, HDoom, Uras, Pilo, Golem, Meowth, and Pika.
Other fun ones might be Donphan for T4 and maybe Jynx or Slowbro for T3. I can see those two being challenging to solo, especially since you'd probably have different teams for each moveset, not to mention Jynx has some small utility.
My list of a full new slate of raid bosses:
Tier 1:
Charmeleon, Ivysaur, Wartortle, Pikachu
Tier 2: Granbull, Tangela, Lickitung, Magneton, Cloyster
Tier 3: Espeon, Umbreon, Poliwrath, Piloswine, Houndoom, Ursaring
Tier 4: Meganium, Feraligator, Typhlosion, Dragonite, Gyarados, Amphoros, Donphan
Additionally, each region should have it's own regional as a tier 2 raid boss. That could be fun.
Edit: Fixed the double Houndoom and added Amphoros
I have no preferences, but hope that Dragonite will never be a raid boss (unlikely, I know). There should be a few powerful, desirable mon that aren't easy to get for just any noob or toddler along for the ride in a group raid.
I have 4 dragons earned the old fashioned way - one wild catch and 3 evolved. But I can't get legendaries for several reasons, nor region exclusives. However, I have 3 shiny gyarados. We can't easily get everything we want, just like in RL.
Yeah I understand where your coming from with that 100% but at this point since most people have every mon from gen 1+2 it really doesn't matter. You shouldn't care if a noob or toddler have a easier time getting a mon that was harder for you to get at one point in time if anything you should look at it differently. You started the game before said noob or toddler even started playing giving you more experience and a better advantage with a better arsenal of mons so just cause it maybe easier for them doesn't mean the rest of the game will be easier. Raids are just one part of the game, grinding is a completely different thing that og/experienced players should have much more knowledge on since we had to work hard for our candy to evolve these mons not just use our rare candy to do so. Also this isn't RL it's a video game.
I didn't exactly disagree, I had mutual feelings on your opinion I just am 50/50 on that whole situation. I don't think if dnite were to become a raid boss it would be a huge issue but I completely understand the frustration long time or higher level players (myself included) would have about it. It is what it is plus we have no say in what niantic does so I guess it's a game of wait and see. Thank you though for not downvoting me
I agree completely with the previous comment that Dragonite and a few others should be harder to come by and not be Raid Bosses. Pokego obsessed raiders in my area have several dozen of each legendary and Tyranitars so what is the point? It is not simply a case of sour grapes as Immortal suggests ("you should not care if a noob or toddler..."). Yes we damn well should care!! Other successful games like Clash of Clans and Clash Royale have difficult to obtain "Legendaries" and similar and they make it hard (but fair) to obtain them. A player should have pride in his collection and having a plethora of Legendaries / Elite Mons in everyone's Pokedex and at every gym (for elites) ruins their scarcity value. Niantic should have a fair way (eggs are already pretty fair now) to get elite mons no matter where you live / what your Biome is. Their special events like Fire and Ice did this, allowing many to have Lapras who would not otherwise see them.
By catering to the "gotta have 10-20 of each Legendary" crowd, Niantic is simply cowtowing to the mass market in hopes of high player counts, revenue and user time. Don't get me wrong, I truly love raids, but they are becoming much less fun now that many raiders are using silly mons, silly tactics and silly strategies (camping out in the Lobby, "don't click OK after catching" etc).
