I'm curious to know if anyone is actually spending rare candy though- is there anything that's worth it?

The only possible case I think is Chansey, but even then you don't really need more than 2 Blissey in this game.

Tyranitar you can get 20 candies at will at a raid. Snorlax candy you can get from a raid, and is no longer than useful now.
Dratini candy is relatively easy to obtain compared to the options above, and with the rumours of it being swapped to raid boss, it's another 20 candies at will every raid.

Legendary candy, while theoretically 'worth the most' (given otherwise you need 20k for one candy), is not the greatest expenditure either for this meta.

So, I assume everyone is stocking up on candy anyway...hopefully

You hit the nail on the head.

There are some good investments but few that match the new rarity of the candy-especially if you compare it to future possibilities in gen 3 or other legendaries. Of course, I'll throw around a few at times because the game is meant to be fun.

I have powered one of each legendary to level 30 just for fun. Now I'm just stocking up on them until bag space doesn't allow. Don't think I've spent any after powering Zapdos.

What can I do with my 1200 + rare candies? Useless as I don't have enough stardust ... and even if, where to use. I need to end raids or start deleting rare candies to get potions...

Whoa, really man? I thought I was ridiculous trying to keep half a bag worth. That got so tedious I spent down to 650. I won't spend any more now that expected drops are terrible, but listen to yourself... you can't even play the game now.

You could blow that in the first week leveling the stronger gen 3 mons and it would not go that far.

But you have to do what you have to do for bag space.

I have exactly 6 right now.... Walking a larvitar and catching enough dratini for my d'nites.

Everything else will have to wait ;)
