Ditto as a counter to mewtwo with ShB

Ditto will be a great glass cannon against mewtwo with shadow ball. It will die with the first ShB but a lvl 30 ditto manage to fire 2 ShB before he faint, doing more damage than anything except Ttar, and fast.

LV30 Ditto with Attack IV15, will do damage 35 to Mewto. Noe even reach 1/3 of Gengar's Shadow Ball.

For attack you would use Mewtwo's attack stats/resistances/weaknesses/etc. The only thing Ditto keeps is HP.

If you switch into a Ditto right before Mewtwo releases Shadow Ball, Gengar is eventually arguably better.

I had thought this would be the case against Gengar but it wouldn't work because it was weak to Gengar's fast moves. Maybe with Shadow Ball Zam/Mewtwo it would work better. hmmmm.

My Lv 29 ditto (15 sta) has 79 HP, confusion Mewtwo does 15/16 damage to Mewtwo. So it looks like it could take 4 confusions, which would be ample time to charge up and send a Shadow Ball.

Mewtwo's Shadow Ball would do 120+ damage compared to Gengar's max of 117 (at lv 40).

i think that ditto can be a decent choice against a PC/SB Mewtwo

Actually against a confusion mewtwo it would do better. Both cases it will die with the first ShB, but with confusion it will do more damage.

Except that a Shadow Ball Mewtwo opens the door to a Lick Snorlax as an excellent counter. I won't be using Ditto in any raid that is pressed for numbers/dps.

a Ditto shadowball will do something like 100 damage to a mewtwo, but you can just lead with ditto, fire the most shadow balls, then use bulkier counters like tyrannitar, lick snorlax can be a decent bulky counter, but bite ttar is better

Well, Tyranitar is better than everything so that's a moot point. My point is that Snorlax isn't going to be the best option against most movesets for Mewtwo, however against Shadow Ball, Snorlax will shine. If I know the moves, I may or may not include Snorlax against anything but Shadow Ball.
