Feebas to Milotic - 400 Candies?

I mean come on, it's EXACTLY they same as Magikarp to Gyarados:
1. Feebas is 220 CP (max) while Milotic is 2967 CP;
2. Both are evolving from pathetic little fishes to dragon-like beasts, tho neither is a true Dragon;
3. And Milotic will be just as useless as Gyarados while Vaporeon is sitting there as the king of Water type...

A lot of Gen 3 design seem to "learn" from Gen 1-2. Salamance is the new Dragonite. Gulpin is the new Grimer. Armaldo is the new Kabutos and Cradily is the new Omastar. Don't get me wrong, I grew up playing Emerald so Gen 3 is like the most familiar Generation to me. But I really hope that aside from giving us new Pokemon, they will give some new features like abilities or status. Otherwise, a lot of Gen 3 Poke will be just dex fillers like most of Gen 2, aside from Salamance and Metagross. Their stats are just not breath taking.

What do you guys think?

I agree that I'd like to see some more complexity added to the game. The idea that every new gen will have 2-4 good non-legendary pokemon and ~100 dex fillers isn't very appealing.

thats kinda what the main games go through. Only few pokemon are used competitively from a new gen while the rest are only used to complete the dex so its not surprising that the same pattern follows pokemon go.

I think Gyarados far from useless.

I like this. Especially suggesting new features, abilities, status. Would thumbs up if I could.

I and maybe many trainers on pogo don't need new gen release, we just need more interesting gameplay.

400 could be hard to come by. Every mon will be less common when going to about 370 mon available in the wild.

For some Milotic lovers (she's really beautiful) they may spend some rare candies.
It's all about who gets it first then put Milotic in the gym to show off :)

Is 400 candy to evolve Feebas already confirmed? I'd understand if it was the case, Milotic is kind of the "girly" Gyarados, both Magikarp and Feebas required annoying amounts effort to evolve in their initial game releases (no attacks for Karp made it a grind, maxing Feebas beauty stat was a slog). But I believe in recent main games Feebas could evolve by using a Prism Scale. I wouldn't be that surprised if they introduce it with the next generation even if it didn't show up til Gen 5 in the main games.
