Based on the pokedexes of trainers at the raids I'd say Legendaries are on the more common side of pokemon. At least right now.
For example. I'm almost level 38. I have more Moltres and Zapdos (9 and 12) than I do Lapras. I have almost as many of them as I do Snorlax. I only have four Dragonites.
One can argue that, if you're putting forth the effort to raid, Legendaries are some of the most common higher-tier pokemon in the game right now. A lot of low level players have at least a few of each of these pokemon. I have no problem with that, that's cool, but it does suggest the birds' rarity as not being exceptionally rare.
Moreover, the birds are extremely limited in their use for obvious reasons.
They obviously have a cool factor. And heck yeah, as someone with a near-complete pokedex (still need to get off my butt and get an unown) you gotta get these birds for your pokedex.
But the fact remains, I see a lot of people with 40 or 50 combined legendaries. Sometimes much more.
So my question is, are these birds as great as you first thought? I know in my area it's getting tougher and tougher to get raids together. It appears Niantic has squeezed this golden goose for all it's worth.
I'm glad I have them. And at the risk of offending a few of you who have not been as lucky as I, I have transferred my fair share.
And honestly, I don't want or need any more. I still raid for the XP and the items. But the birds? meh. I have two 98% Zapdos', a 95% Articuno, and at least one Lugia and Moltres over 90%.
But I amassed about 800 rare candy before they squelched the drop rate for it. I got a lot of TMs and changed a lot of sub-par pokemon to class-A mons. (My first two Dragonites in the game were SW/HB...they're now DT/O).
Just wanted to see if anyone else has lost the fever for these birds. Or is it just my area?
