Building a team to solo a Vaporeon

I am currently trying to build a squad that is able to solo Vaporeons, but I have some problems filling the 4th and 5th slots.

This will probably be my final lineup:
1st: SC/ShB Gengar
2nd: CB/Thunderbolt Zapdos
3rd: VW/SoB Tangela
4th: CB/Thundebolt Zapdos or TS/Thunder Jolteon or TS/Thundebolt Jolteon
5th: RL/LB Victreebel or VW/SoB Ivysaur or VW/SoB Venusaur
6th: BS/SoB Exeggutor

Note 1: the Thunder Jolteon is 6.5 level higher than the Thunderbolt Jolteon.
Note 2: the Ivysuar has 15 ATK IV and is 6.5 level higher than the Venusaur, which has 0 ATK IV. I don't have the candies to evolve the Ivysaur.

1st: SC/ShB Gengar
2nd: CB/TB Zapdos
3rd: CB/TB Zapdos
4th: TS/Thunder Jolteon (charge TM if possible)
5th: RL/LB Victreebel
6th: BS/SoB Exeggutor

Drop the Tangela, Venusaurs or Ivysaur.

I'm going to assume all mons are roughly Lv 30 for this.

1 Gengar
2 Eggy
3 Zapdos
4 victreebel
5 Zapdos
6 TB Jolteon

I like having the 2 bar attacks at the end so more charge moves can be squeezed into the last few seconds. Timewise you might not get to slot 6.

What are the absolute levels of each? If both those Zapdos are Lv 30 you might be in good shape. If the SoB eggy is near 30 he should be in top 4. I feel you need eggys in order to absorb charge moves to charge energy faster. Not sure other grasses can take a HP and get off another SoB.

In the end my strategy was to try and get a quick Solar beam in, then hope a HP charged up most of a second SoB, then try to race for
a third before the second HP. Sometimes a dodge was necessary but was not preferred since I wanted them to die on the second HP. Then repeat.

I managed to beat a HP vape with 4 BS/Solar Beam eggys and a CB/TB Lv 30 98%Zapdos with 2seconds left. Each eggy got in at least 2 but usually 3 SB.

Lv 30 (80%iv 14 attt), Lv 30 (71% 9att), Lv 29 (67% 15att), Lv 29 (7att) for the eggs

Had tried with 2 jolteons in slots 5/6 first, both Lv 29+ but they died way too quick to be useful. The 1 Zapdos did more work than the two jolts combined. I also tried rearranging the order but that didn't help. Tried taking out a low attack Solar beam and adding Lv 31 98% seed bomb eggy, but he felt too slow. Trotted out a Lv 30 SoB vileplume but like the jolts, was too frail.

Level 20, none powered up, planning to power up both to level 22–23.

Even Level 23 isn't going to cut it, you are going to want mons that are at or close to lv 30.

100% Agree
Tried to solo Vape (with Hydro Punp) today, with 5 lvl 26 Eggys (82-88%) with ExtraSensory/Solarbeam:

everytime ~15% in 3 tries, the fifth Eggy never died.
I cant dodge because laggy Phone (fight started @170s)

So damage is the key

Try to power up to level 28.5 and try again, which is the damage breakpoint of an Extrasensory one with 13 ATK IV.

I couldn't do it with my army of eggy e/sob. But could after I TM'd them to bs/sob. Although the raids with the original movesets were when there was the phantom charge moves

Nigel - I have five Level 30 or higher Exeggutors with Solar Beam, two with Seed Bomb, two with Extrasensory and one with Confusion. Would those psychic fast moves make victory substantially less likely?

Try using Dragonite. From my Vaporeon raid experience, having a Dragonite fighting did significantly a lot more damage than any other Pokémon except maybe Exeggutor. (BSSolarBeam).
