Buddy finds 2 Candies?

Never seen before. Are you sure your candy amount also increases with 2?

It looks awfully fishy.

I've gotten 2 candies instead of one before, too. It seems to be a pretty rare occurrence. I am curious how often it occurs.

Chance to find x2 buddy candies has been in the game since buddy system came out.

Very low drop rate. Never seen any data on actual chances, but maybe ~1/50 IMO

I saw this 2 times. The latest one just happened few hours ago. I think it is a glitch as both times it only happened when I had just caught a wild pokemon and the screen showed "+3 wild-pokemon-buddy" along with "+2 buddy-candy" concurrently.
What's more weird is that right after getting +2 buddy candy, I went to buddy page and guess what?
I walked with a Chansey and it showed -4.9/5km walked. Then I kept walking for sometimes and the distance walked was -4.8/5km, then -4.7/5km (?!) How is it possible to get negative distance walked if it's not a glitch? (Unfortunately, I forgot to take screenshot both the times). I also did not keep walking to test what happened once the distance came to 0 but I guess I would not receive any candy as I had got one extra previously.
Just wonder if anyone has seen the same?

oh ppl... its normal not any bug or so. as someone already said its since buddy system started and niantic explained it in oficial info at that time. best to just follows oficial site of game. anyway there is chance you fet 2 candies and thats all. completly random.
