Niantic solved the dust problem

Thanks to all the people complaining about a dust problem Niantic took action and nerfed rare candies. Now with candies becoming the limiting resource (just like before raids began) no one will complain he lack dust.
Thank you whiners.

They really should just X2 all dust indefinitely...makes life much easier

More of a combination i think, Complaining about star dust but also complaining of no potions(legit reason) I have 3 Solid golems but it's like half the time i wouldn't have the potion to revive them because Ttars take a lot. I'll take this trade off. But to each their own, others may not like it so much. At Least i can battle without taking a break for once.

I would gladly trade you 50 of every single type of potion for 50 rare candy

Agreed. I was absolutely furious when I got 20 potions and no rare candies in my last raid. Gives me far less motivation to bother. If you want potions, take a walk and spin some stops. I'm constantly throwing away potions as it is.

Hopefully they listen to whiners about the exclusive raid system. This terrible idea needs to be scrapped, as it benefits no one.

I'm sure someone still complained about gyms being too hard b/c I have zero golden razz;) I'd like to hear if someone got even 8 GR on a single raid today

I think people might have posted their recent catch percentage on the internet, resulting in less berries.

9 of last 10 Zapdos
Last 5 Tyranitars
6 of last 8 Moltres
4 of 6 Articuno

yesterday I was 4 from 4 but they were all caught towards the end of my balls and i ended with less raz then I started.
If it keeps up I might have to do some shit raids just to make sure i have enough goldens.

The whole idea by niantic is to slow down getting or powering up rare pokemon, that way they keep their cash stream longer.

Maybe it's time to walk legendaries, then.
I have a lot of all other "great" candies in stock
(Chansey, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Snorlax)

I walked my articuno to get 1 candy. I just wanted to do it for the craic. I may do that with each of my best legendary. Just for fun

If Niantic listened to people whining about lack of potions then screw those whiners. I've done plenty of raids and never had much issue with potions because i spin my stops. However you do not get rare candies from stops..

2 side benefits to less rare candies for hard core players:

  1. Less isssues with bag space
  2. Less Stardust grinding

I disagree on bag space. The incentive now is to hoard all candies until Mewtwo and Gen 3. Before I used about 100 with the thought that I could replenish easily.

It's funny to me that so many people are complaining about having dust problems since the gym rework. My dust "income stream" hasn't changed. I get ~12K on a bad day, ~20K+ on a good day. What's my secret? I walk. Every day. Go to the park. Grind. Catch everything. Hatch some eggs (I buy several incubators at a time, average about one/day I think.)

I started playing because walking was doctor recommended for physical therapy/rehab after an illness. It was motivation to get me started. I now average ~3 miles/day.

As a walking player, as opposed to a driving player, I was thrilled to collect coins/dust on more than 3 gyms/day. Don't get me wrong, I stop at gyms driving home from running errands sometimes but by no means do I go out of my way to drive gym hopping. My suspicion is that driving gym hoppers trying to maintain 10+ gyms at all times are more likely to complain about dust than walkers. By a long shot. Can't get 5000 dust/day driving, even with Go+.

The game is called "Go" after all. Any other walkers doing ok?

I walk 5-10km per day catching everything. I make 10-15k dust which is enough. I only buy an incubator when I have 3 10km eggs, it used to be once a week but since legendary raids started the drop rate for 10k eggs dropped significantly for me, and I only collected 2 since.

I agree, I have been completely unaffected by this “dust shortage”, hatching eggs has always been my largest source of dust, trying to have 9 going at all times. The gyms in my areas have high turnover both before and after the rework. At most I’ve cashed in on holding three gyms at the same time but only because they were a block and a half from each other. Many times I was racing to take the third as the first or second were under attack.

I don't have much issue with dust. I also walk and catch a good bit. But to be fair the bulk of my team is made and there's little that I truly "need" to spend it on. Good luck to those starting from scratch though. They have a long way to go.

For those who were getting 5k dust from gyms per day and now have an abundance of rare candy combined with high iv Ttars and legendaries, a shortage for some is easily explainable.

It is winter, and so it is harder to go out - but soon enough I will be able to walk more again.
I guess we didn't get the advantage of gyms paying out without work throughout our Winter - we got the new gym system to maintain.

When the better weather sets in, then I am sure I will be able to get more dust - but in the meantime the change to spending on raid passes as opposed to incubators has had an effect even on me as a walker.

Yup it's called "Go" not walk, jog, run, cycle or drive. All of those are going somewhere though.

I blame people feeding rare candy to their pidgeys

Lazy fucks that don't want to spin stops for free potions got Niantic to take action.

Thanks for showing your lack of understanding about the massive shift in the stardust to XP ratio since the start of the game.

...I especially liked the part where you whined about people whining - that bit was especially funny.

The reason rare candies are so common has nothing to do with their distribution. It has to do with the lack of need to evolve mons at all since so many are available fully evolved from raids. If you could not catch fully evolved Tyranitar (and others) candies wouldn't seem common at all. Dust doesn't really play into it.

it would have been nice if they had of just shifted some of the revives to potions instead. Why did we need 20 revives?
That was the moronic part unless it is like the advert with people going kamikaze with pickachu or the loading screen with people attacking tyrantar with starters maybe that's were they got their raid number recommendations from.
