Nearby fix in non-pokestop areas

Niantic seems to have fixed the issue with "nearby" in areas without a lot of pokestops. I can actually see all the mons on surrounding streets again. Kudos to Niantic for being responsive.

Is it fixed for others, too?

Yes, I noticed the same thing today. I am now once again able to see nearby pokemon in "Sightings," and hunt for them as I did before.

That's being shown now, but the only problem is now for people like me who have a pokestop at almost the max distance for sightings, but I can't see the pokemon on my street. Thank god I can still see the pidgys and rats at pokestop outside of walking distance though.

Hey now, don't forget the cluster of three Spearows at the closest but still far away pokestop that just kicked the Dratini at the third closest but still far away pokestop off my list... :(

I was actually just going to mention this in here. In addition to the old "nearby" working if you don't have any pokestops around, it also works if you catch/clear all off the pokemon near the one pokestop by you. At least until another one spawns there.

It doesn't even do a good job of showing the Mon near pokestops. There are always twice as many at the stop near my house as it shows in Nearby.

How is it different? It still just displays those at the nearby pokestops for me
