Where have you spent your ****dust after Gym Rework?
I remember being a 70% Millionaire before Gym Rework, but all of a sudden I'm now back to poverty line again.....As part of the discussion of the recently hot topic ****dust Drought, I do believe that although ****dust is becoming harder to come by, the major reason why everybody has the problem is that you spent a lot, at least faster than you earn, for whatever reasons.
I'm gonna share my spending since the gym rework first, and then I recommend you to do the same before blaming everything on the gym rework.
what's the point of all the resources invested in Godlems if you don't power a Moltres/Arti/Zapdos?
Conclusion:
1) So after I took a break-down of my spending, I am surprised to find that 37.6% of my spending attributed to building a Raid team. Did I get some many good birds? Well, my best IVs for each Kanto bird are 93, 96 and 91. Did the Godlems and Omastar help? Well yes, on average they gave me 1-2 more balls. But did all those who are lucky enough to get 98-100iv birds all have excellent raiders? Don't think so. Therefore, building up Raiders, no matter they are worthy of not, costs you a lot of ****dust.
2) Furthermore, I think TMs (and Rare Candies) are another major factor that caused you to spend like a whale. I won't be powering the first three Pokemon if it weren't for the supply of TMs and candies. Those three added up 44.5% of my spending.
3) As for the Moltres. Did I really need another Fire Attacker? Hell No. I have a Flareon at L39, three Arcanine at L36-38 and a Charizard at L39. And to think about the fact that Fire attacker isn't that needed! But, like I said....when it comes to legendary, especially Team Mascot, I lost my sane :(.
That's the reason why I don't blame on the new gym. I blame on my itchy fingers....

Plenty but I thought they have been reasonable investments. I am mostly a level 30 player for dust investments, here are my list after gym rework

The thing about dust is, you invest them in, but none pays the dust back. That's unlike the investment in the real world where you can get your principal back later. So it's rather a consumption than an investment - you pay the money (dust) and get the product (stronger Pokemon), but you cannot ask for a refund or re-sell it to get your money (dust) back, tho I wish we can.....
Anyway, your choices of consumption are mostly very reasonable, that I agree. Why Lugia tho? What's your plan for Lugi?
You're right, maybe I should label it as 'consumption' rather than 'investment'. For my choices I justify them as:
Lugia- has proved useful in only 2 battles I've done (anchor at the end of Machamp and Gengar) but I would like to have another 3k entry in my first CP page. The others who have made the cut included 4 Dragonites 4 Tyranitar, Perfect Gyarados and 91 Rhydon.
Moltres and Articuno- All my other Fire and Ice attackers are at level 30, but I do have 4 Flareon and 4 Arcanine at level 30, and 11 1.8k+ Cloyster. Moltres and Articuno would serve as my 'ring leader' for attack before I drop to the other options.
Zapdos- Arguably the one I need the most as I only have 3 level 30 Jolts and Level 30 Magnetons don't really count as they kind of suck. Will be powering at least 2.
Tyranitar, Machamp usefulness speak for themselves.
Alakazam I powered one more just to give me extra safety against Machamp and Gengar solos.
How much is the estimated amount of stardust from: 51k captures, which included 2.4k egg hatches, plus gym daily stardust?

38 mon completely maxed. A few regrets in hindsight, especially after gym rework and the advent of TM. But, did I enjoy using every one of them at the time? Oh yeah!!!

- 2x Tyranitar from 20 to 30

A few others have been boosted a little, but I think that is about it. I am currently saving up stardust since I want a L30 version of each legendary. Have 900k stardust presently.
I did not spend stardust on Golem. Instead I evolved three low IV L30 Geodudes. They still get the job done.
Completed projects that I spent earned dust on, had none saved.

I'm getting to where I'd like to be, will have gone from 1 Tyranitar level 30 to 6 at 30. 2 Dragonite at 30 to 4 at 30. Zero quality Machamp to 6@27. Added my 4th Blissey. I just want some legendaries up to 2500cp
I have maxed out a 98% Snorlax to L39 and used TM's to give him Lick / Hyperbeam. He's now often at the end of my raid list. Also considering doing the same for my 100% Blissey.
By the way, as far as I know "maxing out" means level 39. It is not possible to max out to L40, is it? I am level 38 and do not use any tricks like signing in with multiple devices at the same time.
I have 1.67 million stardust currently. Have not spent much since half a year ago. Only spent on Wonders and those above 90%. Anyway, I catch lots of pokemons until I ran out of poke balls. Wish I could convert the dust to cash or coins. Most of the time I use my Machamp, Pinsir and Dragonite for taking down gym. As for Raids, did an Articuno with 7 persons. As for the rest, too many people in raids that we can take down a Zapdos in 60 seconds or less. That's not fun at all.
- 3 maxed Golems, 1 in progress(lvl 37, walking...). But is fun, I aim to solo a Flareon. Thats around 700k dust I think :).
- 1 maxed Rhydon in first day of raids, for solo Arcanine, that is a waste at least for now :).
- 1 machamp from lvl 20 to lvl 30. I have now 4 netween 30-32.
- 2 Gengars from 20 to 33 and 34-to solo an Alakazam; around 200k?
- Minor power ups 2 dragonites- 50k?
- Average power ups 2 Tyras - 100-150k?
- Average power ups for Alakazam for dynamic punch Machamp - 80-90k? 26 to 34 I think, for next breakpoint.
- Other minor powerups - maxing some favs after reaching lvl 38, like 3 Vapes, 1 Snorlax and 1 Exe - 100k?
I have 300k now, restraining from maxing my 93 fs/OH Moltres :).
