Bubblestrat? Am I doing something wrong?

Heyo, Jus a quick question, I recently tried doing Bubblestrat with the suggested pokes:

Horsea:
Lv 1.5
CP: 23
HP: 10
1: Bubble
2: Bubble Beam
51.1% - 64.4% (IV Tier)
15 DEF IV (Best IV)

Diglett:
Lv: 1.5
CP: 10
HP: 10
1: Scratch
2: Rock Tomb
0%-48.9% (IV Tier)
8-12 ATK (Best IV)

Am I doing something wrong? My Diglett always dies against my Horsea. Am I supposed to swipe to avoid the initial attacks or just spam attack upon entering the battle?

If anyone has 2 Pokes with detailed info about what IF / Moveset to aim for that works better, I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm simply trying to level up fast :)
Thanks in advance!

I have used it, but not with the stratospheric results here, especially with the new update this November. The max points you can get with bubble strat is 500 now. [/b] WAIT [/b] ...... NOW it's back to 1000?

I have two bubble poke which I use for 340.... no 680 .... prestige points and 68 EXP.

One is a level 1.5 Krabby 35 CP 10 HP at 28%. I didn't have a good match up for that but I found a Pidgy which I evolved to a Pidgeotto at CP 26 HP 18 level 1.5 40% with a wing attack will kill him with no potion use or revives. I set up the other five spots with throw away CP 10 pokes.

The other set up is an evolved poliwag to Poliwhirl level 1 CP 15 HP 12 at 15% and I kill it with a bell sprout CP 11 HP 10 vine whip at 40 %. It sounds hokey but it yields 680 points, no potions, no revives. I'm hesitant to power up Poliwhirl for fear of making him too strong.

I haven't had the luck to catch other low level possible attackers or good match ups, so this is how it is for now. I'm level 31.

I'd be interested to hear other peoples' experience.

There are a lot of details in the Bubblestrat and Bubblestrat++ sections (see menu on the left). At first blush, you seem to have the right combo. The idea is to spam attack right at the beginning so as to end the fight before it starts.

Personally, I have not been able to find the perfect combination just yet (and I have stopped obsessing about it). Remember, the perfect combination is one where the battle ends before it even starts, so you don't have to use any potions or revives, why we are talking about Levels 1 - 2 pokemons.

You can still use higher level pokemons and as long as the CP of your attacker is 1/2 that of the defender, you will get max XP and Prestige (but the battle may take longer and you will need to eventually use potions).

For me, my preferred combo based on what I currently have is a CP 20 Magikarp and a CP 10 Voltorb and I can get max XP and Prestige with each battle. I usually sustain some damage but can use the Voltorb for 3 or 4 battles before I need to potion it back up. Each battle lasts a few seconds. Not a big deal for me as this is not my premier way of leveling up and I do it once in a while... I find that it gets boring very fast :-)

It may be that you need a higher IV diglet or a lower IV Horsea, especially in regard Horsea's defense stamina and HP. Also something with a STAB attack which counters water, like electric or grass might give you a boost in this case. Really, all I do is attack, and my bubble poke dies before getting a single attack off.

Now I know that I shouldn't transfer my perfect 20 CP Horsea out because I got a perfect 10 CP diglett.

Horsea's defense IV is too high, your horsea needs to be exactly between 20–21 CP.

You're supposed to spam attacks. You shouldn't need to dodge because you shouldn't be taking any damage whatsoever.

You aren't doing anything wrong, you just don't have the damage to defeat the horsea because they got buffed in the recent CP update so their defence is higher, and yours has 15 def IV too, to make matters worse. I'm pretty sure the info on the bubblestrat pages aren't accurate as of now to reflect the CP changes.

1) spam attack, do not dodge.
2) It works great everytime.
Same horsea as you.
but my attacker is a cp10 bellsprout with Vine Whip.
works perfectly.
but it does take time and not a lot of xp is gained.

bellsprout
cp 10
hp 10
Vine Whip
Wrap
stardust 200
"not great in battle..."
"will get the job done"
"impressed with attack"

when I enter the data in the IV calc about 1000 different possibilities show up.

After the stat update Diglett just messed it up. I used a horsea Diglett combo which now doesn't work anymore.
My Bellsprout with 11cp and 12 atk kills my wp25 horsea with 13def. Try to find one, too. Abra should be also fine.
