Legacy Poliwrath

Hey guys so i have a 78% mud shot/submission poliwrath wondering if he has any use or if he would with TMs? I know dynamic punch is optimal over submission and mud shot is probably his worst quick move but im always hesitant on transferring mons with legacy moves so i just need some reassurance advice

I would not TM him.

I always wonder about this.

I can't imagine Mud Shot ever being useful without Stab.

I could see someone wanting to hold onto Submission if they ever rebalance moves again and make submission > dynamic punch.

I just find it a waste to be stuck on the "Its legacy" when the Move Type isn't Stab and I can't think of a single pokemon type that would be weak to ground yet resistant to water that I would use this pokemon on

I totally agree with you about the usefulness of mud shot without stab and also move rebalances that make submission better, thats why im in a such a dilemma on whether to transfer him or not

Like I said below at level 20, his IVs are not worth dust to power oto 30.

Wait and catch a 28-30 with similiar or better.

If at some point Submission gets made better than DP then you can rethink it, and use a fast then

Poliwags (at least for me) are pretty common so you're probably better off evolving yourself a new one, unless for you they're rare.

That moveset, as of now, has no usefulness. There's always the possibility that the moves could change again, but who knows if or when that'll happen. I'd say if you're wedded to that Poli then you should TM it.

Sorry shoulda been more specific, its a level 20 from a hatch not powered up at all, i also have 3 others 89% and over its just that if i transfer this one and moves change like you said i'll regret it id it ends up being good thats the main thing
