Accumulatede catch rate Legendary raid boss

Quick question. I came across this picture: http://imgur.com/a/r0Q1o

I was wondering how accurate the representation is. I just threw 12 out of 13 balls curve + golden razz + excellent (excluding the last glitch ball) and didn't manage to catch Zapdos.

Is it time to buy a lottery ticket?

I've done a bunch of raids, and caught 6 Lugia, 7 Articuno, 7 Moltres, and 1 Zapdos. I use the "throw on attack" technique, and while I miss few throws, only 60% or so of my throws end up great or excellent.

My catch rate is currently about 70%. This corresponds with the graphs folks have produced quite well.

Whats the "throw on attack" technique? I've got about the same amount of Legendaries as you, but am not familiar with the throw on attack thing.

I'm using the similar technique as you. However, by combining this method with the small circle trick, I manage to have all my balls excellent. Excellent is only possible if you mastered to throw exactly in the middle of the circle.

For Zapdos I'm currently on 1 out of 3, while throwing better than ever. This was my only day that I was able to catch Zapdos, so I'm quite upset the two higher IV ran away. Can't always count your blessings I guess.

Also note that the gym ball bonus is bugged (already listed as an issue on Niantic's website) so most will only get at most, 11 balls...I think they should actually give us 7 balls to start instead of 5 since we've all been screwed over on the gym bonus as well...
