Should I use dust on a moltres

The best one I caught is an 89% iv overal. 13A 15D 12S. I already have 5 flareon at +2400Cp all with either FS O or FT. On top of that I have a 100iv Charizard w FSO at level 30. I only have 150,000 stardust

I have 4 flareon with FS/OH or FS/FB at 2500 CP, got a 96% Moltres and will not power him up.

My choices will be Ho-oh as a generalist, Entei for Fire and Zapdos as Electric. Maybe go with Lugia too and Mewto for sure if he gets released

Given the current move set of ho-oh, I feel that Dragonite remains the better generalist. You?

Agreed, I wouldn't waste dust on ho-oh w it's current movesets. Dragonite will always be a better generalist than ho-oh because of its typing, but if ho-oh had a better moveset it would be a beast.

No. Stick with Flareon, since you already have a few. That Charizard is great too, if I had such a Charizard I would max him out.
Entei's attack stat isn't that great, if you need a fire tank he would be good though.
Anyway I don't even have a Moltres.

Yea I want to max him out but he's on a long list of mons that I wanna invest in. Right now I don't like powering anyone up past 30 just because stardust is difficult to get. When I level up I take my DTO dragonite and BC tyranitar with me, but that's it right now. I don't want to waste stardust on a Charizard when legendaries are just coming out and are going to require a lot of dust.

If you are in an area where there aren't many other players, so you're constantly having trouble with raids AND you don't have access to enough pokestops to keep a good supply of Potions, MAYBE consider the Moltres. IF you need Fire Pokémon on a daily basis. Otherwise, save the dust for Pokémon that are useful right now. You've got 6 Fire Pokémon that are more than adequate for raids or taking down gyms, so it's likely a waste of Stardust to power up Moltres.

(is rather miffed about the change in stardust acquisition as spent 200,000+ powering up a few Snorlax and Blissey's to defend gyms. ARGH what a waste of Stardust! Level 20 Snorlax/Blissey's are perfectly capable of holding gyms for 9 hours, level 30's are nothing more than massive wastes of stardust and buddy walking time. Argh.)

You don't gotta tell me I went as hard as I possibly could valentines weekend and chansey was ALWAYS my buddy. I got 3 Blisseys at level 35.5,

Even though very true, maxed out Blisseys given golden razzberries will force a solo player to be there an hour if they really wanted to take you out...

Most will give up since you can always berry faster than anyone can attack.

I think I've spent 1.5+ million dust on the 1st gym meta with no regrets...Allowed me to max all storage and still have coins now after some raid box purchases...

Since you already have a relatively strong group of fire attackers, I would say it's not all that necessary. Although I powered my best one (98%) up since the rest of my fire types aren't as strong. That being said, Moltres also functions well as a generalist given its high attack stat, so you can't go wrong either way IMO.

Argh. People are saying Moltres is a good generalist, while Flareon is still unpopular.
Why?

Currently Moltres is best fire Attacker in the game, if you seek to upgrade your fire attackers, I'll say is worth the stardust but before that you need to have a squad for the other types.

If you are Valor, do it to lvl 30 for now, as the team symbol.
If not, I don't really see the reason.
