Gen 2 new CP coments

After the gen2 CP update we noticed some very interesting pokemon.
Ampharos - Good Electric Pokemon to pair with Jolteon on attacking.
Espeon - new Psychic beast on attacking
Steelix - maybe a good defender due to Great defense and typing?
Scizor - great typing and attack stats, can be awesome with good moveset
Heracross - The hope for effective Snorlax countering depending on moveset
Kingdra - good to attacking due to typing, stats and moveset probably will be good
Donphan - great stats, can be the next Rhydon
Tyranitar - new dragonite, needless to say anything

But we got a problem because BLISSEY WILL BE DAMN BROKEN.

Imagine to fight a gym with 4 or 5 of this?? There's just no time for it. This pink ball will be the devil!

Yeah... I noticed that too.

If Blissey shows up with those stats, I am half expecting to see Level 1 gyms with just a Blissey in it because no one wants to deal with the thing.

Training will be impossible. And takedown also because of time out. Could be a big change in gymgame;)

A short calculation tells, that without type-advantage, blessey could be killed by a same-sized-alakazam only using its quick attack in 55 seconds, whereas time limit is one minute afaik..
I think, taking charged attacks (or type-advantage - any strong fighters in GenII?) into account, others will be able to kill her too.
[Edit]
Heracross is Bug/Fighting with good attack-Value
[/Edit]

Another possibility would be to kill her with teamwork.

Yes, she would stop training. :-) This is ok, it is just a disadvantage for the team, that has put her as a defender.

Heracross can be THE fighting attacker for countering blisse and snorlax, everything depends on the moveset. Machamp's only fault is his terrible quick attack, i hope niantic fix this on Heracross.

At the moment, fighting moves are too weak. Only the slowest one, rock smash, deals more then 10 dps.

If niantic would fix at this point (as they did with water gun, which was much too strong in the beginning) even Machamp could become interesting. With the given three fighting quick attacks, even heracross would be weak.

Yeah, totally. Cross Chop appears as the highest dps move in the game but the quick attacks sucks.

Heracross cannot be effective counter to Snorlax because weakness to Psychic (Zen headbutt). Yeah sure Heracross can prolly kill him if you dodge every hit but that doesnt make him a counter. For countering a pokemon you need an advantage, if both pokemon hit each other super effectively, neither of them counters the other one.

I thought that the bug typing would make him receives normal damage, but you are correct, it wont be a good counter unless it faces a Lick Snorlax.

Lick Snorlax is not a top tier defender anyway. Tyranitar will very likely be the first real counter to Snorlax because he resists both Zen headbutt and Hyperbeam/Body Slam.
Scizor and Steelix could be potentially good counters aswell, depending on final stats and moves. Heracross not gonna happen though.

If that´s the real case...

We can expect Niantics next balance update need ~5 Month after 2 Gen release.

I don't think niantic will let blissey be so strong, they will change somethig in blissey base stats before release gen II.
They will probably find a way to buff umbreon too.

Maybe, they just will not let blissey enter the game.

Or they find another way - maybe with only one pkm of the same type as a defender in each gym. One blissey can be beaten, and at the moment, gyms fall too fast anyway.

I don't expect them to adjust stats formula just because of one PKM. I expect them to adjust lapras according to the new formula too.

There is no way Niantic will let Blissey have that much HP and defense. I am sure a lot of this will be vastly different in reality when Gen 2 is actually released.

With this stats Blissey's effective health is 'only' 30% higher than Chansey's, means a Vaporeon of equal level should beat her in some 70 seconds or so. Don't panic.

I hope Scizor Heracross and Steelix help to make my Charizard more relevant
