What am I doing wrong?
I don't know why but my % of legendary catches is going down like crazy those days. I don't know if I am doing anything wrong or just RNG hates me right now but I started Moltres raids with 2/3, since then I am 1/7, on all of them I throw pretty well, at least 60% greats 20% excellents aprox., the last one I have made 3 excellents in a row yet the ... bird fled me...
I don't know if there is something else I am missing, please if someone has any advice I would really apprectiate because I am getting pretty upset at this point...3/10 Moltres 4/14 Lugia, it seems like no matter at all my throwing skills, or if I use golden or not.

Probably you are right but with the group I raid I am seeing a lot of people getting aprox 2/3 of their attempts...We are a pretty small group, around 14 players, so I can keep track of their catches and I think almost all of them have higher rates than me despite having a lower % of curve, great and excellent...That is what is making me think that I am missing something, I have that strange feeling no matter how hard I try the birds are escaping me a lot more than to other players in my group at least.
Well I am near the edge then...30% Moltres 28% Lugia, and my accuracy is pretty high, I almost never miss a shot, I would say 9/10 balls hit a the target, I have learned their animations and always use the ball when they are going back to their position before they have time to attack again.
I am very patience and I am always the last of our group to finish his balls, yet my % is lower than 90% of the other people of the group.
Mostly RNG, but I think I can give you an advice. Nanabs have their effect on for 2 balls, so you could throw a nanab for the first ball and a golden berry on the second one. This way on the second ball you have 2 bonuses on the mon, he is quiet because of the nanab and easier to catch because of the golden berry. Good luck

Hope it can help me because I am starting to get upset...It is not other players capturing it what bothers me, it is the feeling I am having the last days that no matter what I do the bird will escape me at the end...I don't know any other player in our group getting as many excellents as me (at least 2/3 per raid), but I still don't know why those excellents don't boost my % of catches...
Are you using curve balls? If not, using a curveball increases the probability of catching a mon by 1.7x.

An excellent throw without a curve produces the same likelihood as catching it as with no throw bonus with a curveball. That's insane!

try feeding a nanab first before your first throw. Then use goldens on your following attempts. I havent lost a molt raid since using nanab on first feed. Lots of people on here think its total bs but for me it has been working (12/12 including my wife). Hopefully it works for you as well if you choose to.
keep battling, keep curving and keep hitting the birds. Main deal is either know how to battle or pretend, need to get your group to not be so scared as to wait an hour or longer. Work the discord boards, sometimes get people quick if they recognize a nick and you are pretty straightforward and consistent
