Storage for Rare Candies

With rare candies, item space is an issue (I'm currently 110 items over my limit). I am considering making a lvl 30 Lugia to help solo machamp (I can do it already, but it uses my SoB Egg man, which I'd like to save). Given those things, would it be bad to take 50 rare candy to Lugia candy? In a couple days, once I have zapdos, make 50 zapdos candy? I get Lugia has a limited role and zapdos will get beat by raikou.

I could up my bag, but I feel like Niantic is forcing money out of me that way, which bothers me. Just trying to get input.

I will be dumping some into Zapdos candy as soon as I have one - even if it isn't the one I power up, I will still use it to hold candy to take one to around lvl30

Imo rare candies are nothing you really need to save. More easy to get than evolution items.

If you're low om space convert them to legendary or Tyranitar candies. You don't need to Use them right away. Dust is the real problem.

Yep. I have high IV's of each bird I plan on leveling eventually, so reducing my rare candy load by distributing 30 or so to each freed up a lot of space.

I storage 100 rare candy. Use all over that. Only 700 storage.

Making rare candy an item pretty nullified the extra 500 storage space.

Lugia's is a very underwhelming attacker. It will be unlikely to help you take down a Machamp faster. Lugia's strength is in defending. It is not great in attack. There are better options.

It's not a terrible anchor if you have five high DPS psychics in front of it. A DT/H Dragonite would make it moot though...

I'm considering powering up a lugia just kuz I think it will be really strong in PvP. All the legendaries so far will be outclassed in attack by other options except articuno, but ice isn't really needed atm and many have a strong Lapras and/or an army of cloysters that can do the trick.

I'm thinking a Dragontail Skyattack Lugia is the king of niche uses.

It's going to be my Mewtwo, Alk, Focus Blast Tank.

With flying & psychic typing taking that Focus Blast with Mewtwos attack down to 40 damage. While Blissey would take 146ish.

I just keep 100 rare candy, it's so easy to come by, I spend the rest on all the legendaries so far, once I get enough stardust I'll power up at least one of each good one that I have to level 30. I've also thrown some rare candy at powering up my Ampharos, a little on Tyranitar and the 97% Heracross I caught on holiday.
