Silly question - what is benefit for becoming trainer level 40
And what do you do after reach level 40 ? I'm level 38 now and my motivation decay more than Blissey in the gym !!

Bring your mons to the max, start working for the next level cap, go to raids with lvl40 serious player groups (if that exist in your city, in mine they go together and divides by colours to maximize bonus balls), time to focus in selective captures and stop farming so hard; and other things out of the game like simple satisfaction or participate in 40lvl exclusive chats. I reached 38 this week and I'm more excited and active than ever.
Just hit Level 39 30 secs ago (only ever had one account, couldn't tell you what spoofing is even if my life depended on it) and I am happy as hell to keep grinding...btw I'm 34 not some young kid but I find a way! I feel like after this last event anyone who plays the game even moderately probably could have leveled past 30 but to me 37+ shows something a bit different (insert your addiction quips here) When you talk to other players at raids you can tell almost instantly who has put in the time not just with playing but with research on sites like this as well (just as much if not more) Keep Grinding Kids!
I was once teased by a level 40 player for being low level (level 36) at that time. Some level 40 players think they are hard shot but actually without much game knowledge except no brain grinding. I am now level 38 and some of my Pokémons have maxed to level 40 while his stays at 39. So who is the hot shot now? This game level wise requires none or little intelligence and I really don't see how proud of being level 40 is.
Don't force it, let the xp build alongside stardust, the single mist important resource.
In my case I focus also on xp since I aim to be first lvl 39 Valor in my city. Mystic already has 2 at lvl 39, one close to 40. Instinc highest is as me, lvl 38, but a few houdred thousads behind.
But dust is what you want to max suprems (aka Golems :)) ) and the satisfaction to be the only one capable of getting +3 damage also in 9+ Moltres raids :) and compensating at least for one missing member in team bonus :).
