Now 7/7 with Nanab Trick, 0/1 without Nanab

Caught my last one on the first throw too! I'm not here to boast. I just want to help some fellow homies turn their luck around.

Now this morning i got so excited after seeing an 1870 i forgot to use the trick and accidentally hit it with the golden first. And of course it had to fly away. fml

no legendary has fled me on a first ball, regardless of me using a pineapp, razz, golden, nanab. the only time a legendary that had fled is on the last bal.

What is the nanab trick?

use nanab berry then golden berry, nanab, golden, until u out of balls. watch ProdigiesNation youtube.

Perhaps OP will have a different description, but some in my raid group believe that alternating nanabs with goldens increases the catch rate. I tried it when I was 0 for 5 on Moltres, didn't help. Then today I got 3 out of 4, and a Lugia 1/1, without using it. So I think RNG but who knows for sure.

Oh really? I'm 8/8 today and 27/36 overall on Moltres. All with golden berries and great curves. I think my boring but proven method has a better record than your nanab trick.

A single nanab on first feed and then goldens the rest of the way have been working flawlessly atm for me. I havent tried the alternating method as shown in the video above.

The worst thing is, I tried this "stupid suggested trick" against Moltres at 1865, highest ever I seen.

If you caught the last one with the first throw, then you did it without performing the trick - because the trick is to follow up a nanab with a golden, and you didn't get the opportunity to perform the trick in full.

My raid group has tried this trick on 2 separate occasions now. On the first, only 1 person was successful out of 4 people attempting. On the second, only 1 person was successful out of 3 attempting. I am personally 0/2 with the trick, 5/9 without. Sometimes rng is just rng guys.

It's all random. I through an excellent curve ball, with golden razz, and it broke out. Missed my next throw, because of double attack. Then, out of berries, I did a "pissed off" throw, (curved but with an I don't care attitude), and it barely hit the outside, not even a "nice," and caught Moltres.

I just do the 1st throw as Nanab "in case" it's a thing...I doubt it works, but at the end of the day, 1 Nanab is a small cost just in case. With Niantic's code being so weird and last ball instant flee bug, I figure it's better safe than sorry.

I generally always hit greats/curves as well and in the 3 that got away without this, I got 23/25 hits without this trick and was 0/3 for 2 Articuno/1 Moltres.

I started to do the 1st Nanab on 2 Moltres and 2 Tyranitars and was 4/4 so far. That said, these last ones we got a lot of balls too so it could all be RNG, but I feel 1 Nanab is a low cost to pay to try it...

I'll keep using it since who knows, lots of bugs in the game.
