Against Zapdos I planned using 4 Golems with rock movesets, 2 at level 36 and the other two at level 34, the last slot is for my level 36 Rhydon with MS/ SE, and about the 5 slot I was thinkin either my Dragonite DT/ O or my B/ SE Tyranitar, they're both at level 37 and have similar ivs, which of them are the best option against Zapdos?

First off, note that Zapados will resist MS from Rhydon. Not a huge deal but not super optimal either.

Last I would run SE Tyranitar for bulk to hang around and produce some extra damage.

I know, Rhydon is a tank counter against him, but is a guarantee that I will survive the battle while dealing decent damage

I figured you knew that just thought I would point it out for others that might read through.

Motivation: its all about DPS. Do as much damage as You can fast and don't let the last pokemon faint. you probably will not need the sixth pokemon against zapdos. If you are down to the sixth you should focus on not to faint. with the 5 mons before you should have done enough damage to have a decent chance of getting any bonuses. A rhydon at the end with mudslap and maybe the chance to get one Stone edge hit before timing out is not worth it taking into account the risk of having all mons fainting.

Rhydon is double resistant to electric, and possess Stone Edge and good attack, it can replace Blissey easily here

look at the team place 1 to 5. You'll time out before getting to the sixth pokemon.

And if you by any chance get to the sixth pokemon you probably would not have enough time to attack with a stone edge. Maybe 1 Stone edge at the most.

The only chance not to time out if you are down on the sith pokemon is that somebody that's raiding has as a sixth pokemon a 3600 tyranitar. In that case you should focus on not to faint instead of spamming mudslap + the risk of having all mon faint.

Go with an anchor instead.

Ok that really depend of how many players enters the battle.. never gonna attack a legendary by myself for obvious reason, so as you stated before, that team seems good to deal very good damage before the sixth and have good chances of getting bonuses

I agree that this depends on the team. With 6+ strong players it makes sense. With only 4 players the Blissey can be a classic prisoner's dilemma choice that dooms the entire team.

If you faint you can just wait and not rejoin. Using Rhydon and not rejoining will benefit both you and your team more than using Blissey.

i have 1 golem double rock lvl 30. is it worth the 75k-150k to boost 1 or 2 of my lvl 20 double rock golems? or will i be fine with this squad?

lvl 30 Golem
lvl 30 Ttar B/SE
lvl 30 Ttar B/SE
lvl 30 Dragon DT/O
lvl 30 Dragon DT/DC
lvl 26 Blissy ZH/DG

If you can afford it, at level 30 vs Zapdos, a RT/SE Golem is going to last about 50% longer and do about 50% more damage than a B/SE Ttar (mostly due to greater longevity).

Agree with all of the above on focusing on double-rock Golems and Rhydon w/SE is a pretty good anchor. But what I really want to know is if anyone is seriously going in with a Piloswine, as Gamepress seems to suggest. I'm being sincere in that question. I have only 2 double-rock Golems, 1 SE Rhydon, and will probably fill out my roster with DT/O Dnite and B/C Ttar.

Piloswine is a good answer against Zapdos and also future raid boss Dragonite, but I don't find another use for him, still is a very nice choice

I will use my swines. I have 2 rock golems, 1 DT/O dragon, then will come 2 ice swines and a SE rhydorn. I don't have a SE ttar. Note that the swines dps will be equivalent to that of the dragon and higher than the rhydorn.

I evolved a L28 good IV 15 attack wildcatch and got IS/A piloswine, so I boosted him up to 30 since I only have 3 double-rock Golems - a place for him on the team in absence of other great counters, and the dust cost was cheap!

Mine is from a level 30 wild catch with 15 A and PS/A. So I got super lucky on that one to need zero investment. I'm glad a rare moment of luck might actually have provided something useful.

My question is somewhat parallel to this. Does anyone know what the difference is between "Rock" and "Ground" types? Like, Why does Ground resist Electric completely, but Rock takes neutral damage? Is Rock equivalent to real world stone? if so, stones aren't affected by lightning/electricity are they? Little confused here

I am planning on using:
Tyranitar B/St
Golem R/St
Golem R/Ap
Dragonite Dt/O
Dragonite Db/Dp
Rhydon M/St

With a runner up of Exeggutor C/P if any of those don't seem to work as well as they should.

I think my plan is just to use my three L30 RT/SE Golems. All have poor IV's but they get the job done and cost me zero stardust. For the three remaining spots I'll bring three L30 B/SE Tyranitars. If they die too quickly I might put in a MS/SE Rhydon or two.

If your golems have 15 attack IV and you are at least lvl 36(i think you are based on lvl 37 Tyra) is better to take them to lvl 37.5 to gain one extra damage poit for rock throw.

I did that for my 100% golem, but I think that is too expensive to do it with more than one. At least I can't afford power up my other 2 rock golems. With a decent group, it won't be necessary

I'm using 5 golems and a snorlax in the end (maybe will substitute blissey if she's not in a gym, as I only have 1 Blissey)

Rhydon probably tanks the electric attacks better than Snorlax but mud slap makes it so awkward to dodge, snorlax might give you better luck. In any case I would advise 4 Golem 1 Tyranitar then whatever tank you have in the end.

2 Golem stone/stone
2 Rhydon mud/stone
2 t-rex bite /stone
if i get through all 6 and have to regroup..don't think it my fault....really aught to slap the snorlax and blissy low dps'rs
