Powerin up my alakazam?

I got 20 lvl IV97 Alakazam (def14). Now he has future sight. Do I power it up to lvl 38.5? I have lugia 20 lvl 87 IV. Alakazam base attack is 40 % more. I all ready have one 96 IV Alakazam with Futere sight

What exact purpose(s) do you plan on using either of them for?

Yes that's is the problem! Is there any reason to powerin up the Alakazam?

He can help more solidly solo a Machamp.

Lugia can be an anchor for Machamp raids or sweep gyms but other mons can do both jobs somewhat better and/or faster

I have two with PC/FS sitting at level 20 and have not been able to talk myself into spending the dust on them. Highest attack stat currently in the game, sure. But they are so fragile, I'm just not sure they're worth it.

We're assuming it has Confusion then, since you mention level 38.5 (coincidentally the breakpoint for Confusion into Machamp)? Or are you Level 37?

Just was trying to edit that in. Coincidentally, level 38.5 would be the max breakpoint for damage for an Alakazam using Confusion attacking into Machamp.

Only other (sensible) reason OP would've specified level 38.5, other than if they're level 37.

Current level 37.7 near 38 and it have Confusion. Lots of fast tm too.
