Nanab Berry Trick is Stupid
I've heard of the video of the guy catching 6/6 using this so called GUARANTEED method. That's a very small sample. I want to see someone that got 50/50. Then I'll start taking it serious. I think it's a waste of a precious premier ball. Anyone had huge success with this BS method?

I went nanab→golden razz→nanab, after I failed to catch after the above sequence, I know this trick is too good to be true and went back to always using golden razz and luckily was still able to catch the moltres at the second to the last ball. I think either Niantic fixed it overnight after the trick was posted last night or it is just a hoax
Randomness always creates superstitions. Fail to catch a legendary five times in a row "something must be wrong". Catch legendary five times in a row "there must be some magic trick here". The human brain wants to see patterns and causality where there is randomness, it is basically how we are built.
So until someone proves that there is something to this nanab berry trick, I'll continue to believe that it is all RNG.
I think it's BS too, a redditor on the Silph road posted they also had some luck with a small sample size (ungghhh) but said they noticed a "hangover effect" on subsequent throws after using a nanab on the initial throw and then following up with a golden razz for all subsuquent throws. Again, it is a small sample size, but I think it's much more practical than alternating between berries. Also I think ProdigiesNation is not as "credible" as Trainer Tips, because his logic is not always supported by sound premises, such as this one.
I have yet to try initially using a nanab and then using the rest with golden razz berries, but the next time I get 10+ premiers I'll be willing to try it.
I'm not judging but pointing out that there is not AMPLE supporting evidence. I was not focusing on trainer tips but rather there is not a great enough sample size. If you read the comment section in that video-you may notice that many individuals also point this out from their rather limited experiences. I enjoy many of PN's videos and am not discrediting his hard work and dedication, but I find that Nick tends to give advice based on research (see yesterday's video). Yes, Nick does play more casually, but Nick also provides a plethora of background research and is on top of recent news, and provides it in an easily disgestible manner.
Also I sense some attitude in the reply. Like I said I appreciate what PN does but there's not enough backing in some of his videos..."it almost works 100% of the time" based on a sample size of 6, one of which was a critical catch. Looking back, "logic" wasn't the correct word, and I should have mentioned that. However I don't think it's fair to give all of the credit to PN. Another example, he attempts to dip a Moltres, and uses a rock smash Rhydon instead of backing out to revive his Golems. He also has a plethora of stardust, it wouldn't kill to invest 70k to bring a golem up to level 30 for the sake of the video (just an opinion).
Either way, I was attempting to contribute to the OP's idea that the trick is BS. The reply above does not directly contribute, but rather provides a counter stance to my stance towards PN's credibility of this particular video
I know that probably is just a lie, but you know, it does not hurt to actually try and see if it works for you.
My experience with the trick is 2/3 now, started yesterday using it and got 2 Lugia in a row, failed another lugia today. I know the sample is pretty low but from my experience even if it is not a guaranteed catch it does indeed seem to increase chances.
I just talk about my own experience, so don't take my words out of this, but before using the trick I had exactly 2/12 Lugia, a very very bad % in my opinion, although I normally get great throws consistently and used golden berries always I was not able to get a good amount of Lugia, seemed like he did not want to come with me. With the trick I made 2/2 on just a few minutes, I have never gotten 2 legendary in a row, not even two level 4 in a row, so I will keep using it, it saves me some golden berries and seems to help, so why don't use it?
