Did Niantic change Moltres throw distance?

I'd swear that yesterday Moltres was closer... today I threw multiple balls into air

He sometimes flies backwards. Like a " 7 " movement.

You mean the movement that onscreen looks line up and down? Yeah. But even when he's down/front, you gotta throw farther to get him...

I just did the Moltres raid.. And yes, I too found the distance to be greater than yesterday.. A few balls flew short of him when it was near perfect strength to get a great throw like yesterday.

Hey! I thought so too. Today felt like I was throwing for a zubat. I actually missed 4 balls because they did not fly far enough.

Yesterday I pretty much hit it all.

2 or 3 balls didn't even reach Moltres and I felt like I just installed Pokemon GO and had no idea what I was doing.

I'm not sure if they changed the distance, could be a coincidence as well.

Could it be that moltres moves back further each time like Catching Pokémon in the wild?
