New Tracker is Junk.... Question for Frisco/Seattle etc
I am curious to those of you out there that got the Tracker testing weeks ago.
Did you feedback or complain on twitter or bug site?
Or did you have a good experience because of your local and thats why it got stuck on rest of us

I can get the "Sighting" feature to come up if there's not a single pokestop in view. If I close the app and re open if one is in view it changes to "Nearby"
The "Sightings" is still blank for me, but the fact that it pops back and forth is a good sign. I'd like to know if anyone has had one come up on sightings.
I live in a Seattle suburb. The day the tracker went into effect I went from seeing up to 9 mon on my tracker to none. To this day, a mon has to be on my property to show up. I backed out of my driveway a few days ago, and as soon as I hit the road, a growlithe and oddish showed up. Neither was on my nearby.
We don't have a pokestop in the neighborhood. The nearest is 3/4 mile away. It's put a huge damper on playing the game at home.
On the flip side, I work in downtown Seattle. If you are in an urban area with lot's of pokestops, it actually comes in pretty handy.
I've emailed Niantic with feedback. Everything would be fine if they just added non-pokestop nearby back into the mix.
The tracker is awesome! ...IF and only if you are surrounded by pokestops. When I'm at a mall or in an urban area it almost feels like you're cheating.
However, If like me, you have one pokestop within 3 miles of your house then the new tracker is just about useless. I mean literally has no use at all. As in might as well not exist. it's bad enough not living close to pokestops, but now it's almost a punishment that you can't even see the few crappy pokemon that spawn near you.
I would like to be able to switch between the two versions. The rarest Pokémon that appear near my house are in certain spots that are not near poke stops. And when they showed on sightings, I knew where to hunt. Now, I have no idea if something rare is in those areas.
But when I am in a city, the new tracker is great. I can find some Pokémon.
Overall it is a net loss for me because of the area I am in but I would like the option to use it in certain areas.
