DB/Dragon Pulse
Are there any good arguments for keeping double legacy DB/|Dragon Pulse on a 98 IV dragonite with 3189 CP? I haven't used it in weeks and think it might use it occasionally with hurricane or outrage instead of dragon pulse but I really like legacy moves so I am torn.
I have one DT/OR at 3318, another DT/H at 3088.
I have another 98 IV DT/OR at level 20 but don't think I will power this up anytime soon...

THanks Asianclark. I would never dream of changing DB. The only reason to TM is that I would start using DB again. I used it the other day and DT just feels so clunky in comparison. I might throw it in occasionally vs lugia with hydropump it I get OR or could come in handy versus moltres as a 2nd Dragonite. T'tar 3456 golem 2800 golem 2800 vap 2930 dragonite 3318

Dragon Pulse is a little worse than outrage. Dragon Pulse is very slightly faster, but it does 22% less damage. In practice, I notice the difference in damage more than I notice the difference in cooldown time. They both feel slow.
That said, I have a DB/DP Dragonite myself, and I am not TM'ing it anytime soon. The move stats could change at any time, and maybe DP will get some kind of buff. I have several legacy DP Laprases and Gyaradoses as well that I am reluctant to part with, despite the current limited value of that move.
I've struggled with this as well. I decided ultimately to leave it alone. Here's why:
- They may make it better later, and if they do, I won't be able to get it back (assuming removed moves won't be later rotated into the pool).
- I'm lucky enough to have DB/O and DB/DC already, so a THIRD Dragonite isn't going to do me all that much good.
- With my Charged TM luck, I'll get Hyper Beam and have to destroy my phone. Or Outrage, which I already have. I'd want Hurricane, and my track record isn't great for getting what I want.
With what you already have available to you, I'd leave it alone in your position as well. If you didn't have other really good Dragonite options, I might, but that's not the case.
