So what if I can't get legendary bird now? I live in a small town and I have no chance to beat a lvl 5 raid.. I don't even do lvl 4 raids cuz there are no players.. So my question is: will the birds dissapear ? and does that mean that I will never have a chance to catch them ?
I hear this question alot, and the honest answer is that nobody but Niantic knows.
However, I very much doubt they would permanently cut off access to any pokemon. Perhaps variations, like the Pikachu with hats, but not the basic versions. I expect all the legendaries will still be in the game, but likely less common than they are now. May still be in raids as a rare occurrence, and may even be catchable in the wild or in eggs.
I'm in a comparable situation, and (starting yesterday) I've decided to hold off on playing until there is reason to believe that legendaries will become available for players like us. Not as a protest (because it's not like anyone at Niantic would notice), but because until something changes, my goals in the game are simply unattainable.
