Jolteon or Espeon?

Hi all, I'm still a fairly low level player but I'm levelling fast and I just hatched a 91% Eevee that I'm looking to evolve. The only Eevee-lution I have so far is Vaporeon, and I currently have no decent electric or psychic type Pokémon.

With this in mind, what would you prioritize between Jolteon or Espeon? I've been told Espeon is a lot stronger overall but Jolteon's typing may be more useful for gyms, especially in my area where there are many water types and nearly every gym has Vaporeon/Gyarados/Lapras. I'm leaning toward Jolteon for that reason but considering that all my Pokémon so far are fairly low CP, should I go for Espeon instead? Thanks!

Well, you can get L20 high IV Jolteons, Vaporeons and Flareons i raid battles, so I say Espeon!

Jolteon, then Espeon

I would take Espeon.

You can't choose Jolteon. You only have a 1/3 chance of getting what you want.

Espeon on the other hand you have to walk 10km and then evolve it while it's still your buddy during the day time. You know what the outcome is and you'll get your outcome.

Otherwise with Jolteon you have a 2/3 chance of disappointment. Espeon is a strong pokemon and will do powerful neutral damage against any opponent.

They can if they name it Sparky.

I have a follow up question about the name trick. I've heard it only works once. Does that mean once overall or once for each Eevee-lution? For example, I named a previous Eevee "Rainer" to ensure I'd get Vaporeon. Does that mean I won't be guaranteed a Jolteon if I name this Eevee "Sparky"?
