GamePress

I was just wondering what these mean. EPU is the energy generated every time a defender uses a quick move, right? So for, say, Rock Throw, the defender gains 15 energy per use? I had someone tell me that EPU only applies for charge moves, but Gamepress indicates otherwise.

Also, does EPS apply at all for defenders? I'm pretty sure it only applies for attackers.

EPU - energy gain per use, simply multiply EPS by the move's cooldown to get this value.
EPS - energy per second, assuming you spam the move off cooldown

EPS doesn't apply for defenders because their attack intervals aren't the same as the cooldown of their moves.

EPU is Energy Per Use -- The amount of energy that you charge with each quick move. Comparable to the base attack damage of a move.
EPS is Energy Per Second -- The amount of energy that you can charge per second if you are just spamming your quick move. Comparable to damage per second (DPS).

Generally, moves with longer duration and higher damage and energy gain per use are better for defense since the defender will not be attacking as often, where as attacks with shorter duration but higher damage and energy gain per second are better for offense.

The defender still gains the same EPU, but the D_EPS (defensive energy per second) calculation would be different because you would need to add in the extra 2s cooldown in between defender attacks.

The quick moves page lists D_DPS (defensive damage per second) but not D_EPS.

It doesn't seem to be just +2s to each attack, since I can only fit 3, sometimes 4 0.5s moves in between 0.5s moves on defence.

Yes!! Depending on when the flash occurs in the move the times between attacks can vary on defenders.
At about 4:26 you can see prodiges attacks Eggy with 6 DB's between confusion attacks. Confusion has a very late flash mayb the latest in the game. Theres also a slight delay in between a couple of the attacks, so you should be able to tell 7 DB's is possible. Ive been saying I can get 7 in and was told this was not true that 5 is the max. I dont have any video to prove I can get 7 in between attacks and dodge back to back but here is a video of 6.
