Anyone else out there?
Since the raids I have finally meet other players. Before almost only spoofers. However I seem to be the only hardcore player that does not use trackers or maps. Am I the only one that still gets a buzz from a dratini as I may not find one from one month to the next! I understand how seeING mons on a map can be fun but I feel I have had much more fun by not having these tools. Is there anyone else out there approaching level 40 that never uses anything other than the pokemon go app?

Play the game how you want and find fun and don't worry about how other people get their fun from it.
It's a silly mobile game, it's not something to worry about whether you're doing it right and others are doing it wrong.
I'm about to hit 36. I've used trackers, but not for a while. I only need an Unown to complete my Pokedex sans four geographic mon and the Legendaries.
I still get excited about Magikarp! ? I LOVE hatching Dratinis. However, I'm starting to lose interest in catching. If it wasn't for stardust, I'd stop altogether.
Me and the kids actually got our 1st wild Dragonite today...it's my 2nd Dnite after 36 levels so in the car going to a raid during errands, kids were yelling, loud, etc...jumping up and down, you name it, they did it.
Yes, we were all excited to see a wild one...I doubt spoofers/map trackers users get that at all.
Ultimately, if you can get something easily every single day, the joy of getting that thing decreases exponentially in excitement...One reason I play games and try to make them artificially hard (no reloads, 1 life, no cheats reading, etc...).
It was their 1st Dragonite since July 2016 playing also so yeah, they were excited...
Yes! I love it when I see a Dratini on the sightings, and a level 8 Snorlax I caught at work totally made my day. And I will always remember when I caught my only wild D'nite - 11/26, just a few weeks after starting - with only 38% IV, but DB/DC. It's her fault that I'm now level 36 ;)
I think trackers and other cheating apps would just ruin it for me.
Level 38 Only use PokeGenie app to check IV. I was invited to join the group where people using Map, trackers and bot for finding Pokémon but it's not my style. I enjoy the moment when snorlax pop up in my sighting, angry when Lapras fled away or feel exiting when I go aboard and hope to find regional Pokémon like Taurus (still keep him in my bag iv crap one as a trophy). Power up max Tyran IV 84 (best iv I have) no need to wait the 100IV as now I'm happy to invest him.
